Yes look at the back of the caliper. A lot of cars have brembo calipers.
You can upgrade the fronts to MB Brembo 6 piston.
You can even upgrade the rears to MB Brembo 4piston from a SLK55 with some cutting of the dust sheild for a little over $ 1K for both.

In my opinion, all colors look terrible except for the stock silver (and black with silver letters looks good as well). The stock silver matches well with the entire car and the lineage of the AMG calipers. Yes, other cars look great with different colors, but not this one. jmo.

You're not going to listen to someone from Jersey about cosmetic mods, are you? 
I did the G2 paint on my front C32 calipers; much cheaper, an easy DIY, and just as long-lasting as powdercoating for all practical purposes.

Theres a guy on Ebay that you can order some silver AMG high temp decals from for your calipers. He can also do custom decals if you want to do the design like the pic of the gold calipers. I bought some Brembo ones from him and they are great.
