A & B Service and Resetting
Does anyone have the breakdown of the A and B services, i.e. the tasks performed by the dealership.? Additionally, how do you reset the computer after you perform the recommended service?
I know I read this info on the forum before, however, I have tried to search for the info again and cannot seem to find it.
Thanks for the help.
Scott

Allot cheaper
I would recommend performing the oil change at 5000 miles between the 10000 miles full flex services if you want to.I think on the service B if you have a supercharger they service that as well. Other than that they are just inspecting everything to make sure everything is within spec.

I didn't know the B service was so similar to the A... I like that lube and reset method as long as the car gets regular attention from the owner (who here doesn't check their levels, etc regularly).
I am about to get ready for my service B and while I only paid 140 for service A, I've been quoted about 390 for the 20K B Service. Should I shop around or just go to a non-dealer?
What is the best way to shop for services quotes online?

I would start with as reputable an independent mechanic as you can find on yelp and use a simple service like an A or B to judge if they can handle bigger jobs down the road. My indie charges 99 bucks for and A and 199 for a B service. Reasonably priced and does good work! Hope you find similar!

can you post or PM name of indie shop? i live in the bay area, and looking for a shop to service my car. thanks.

The 99/199 pricing is from these coupons I get with the paper every once in a while. If you bring it up, I'm sure he will give it to you!
