Starting the car...anybody else notice this?

Anybody else ever notice you don't have to hold the key in the start position for the car to start? You just have to bump it forward to crank and then let go and it will complete running the starter and get the car running. Must say I love it and I'm used to doing it now so it sucks when I get in another car and do it out of habit.

Almost like they built in 85% of a push-button start but didn't actually put in the button...

Most newer cars do it now, GMs have had the feature for a while now.

Also if you try to turn the ignition with the engine on, it won't do any thing.

I remember seeing that, but it's the worst place to have it. I can't even reach it from the driver side.

Sunglasses holder? I put a few pens in there, along with a tire gauge.

LOL. I found that about 2-3 months ago. I couldn't manage to get a pair of sunglasses to fit in there properly so I just left it alone and moved along.
