Don't loose your life,love,business to this..power is very nice but at the end you only get retail for it and lose all the money you invested...why not stay as you are and start a cheaper car build...I'm gonna get into the 1st or 3rd Gen RX-7 bodies weight average 2700-2900 and toss a LS1/2 engine in it..a Gen one with body and built engine is around $5k-$8k. hitting 130+mph trap speeds...your car is by far at an optimal point just leave as is and start a new project..you never know maybe you can get in the business of creating performance for these cars.

The 63 motor is not powerful enough. ECU tuning and wiring would be a nightmare. The 55 and v12's both use a 5 speed 722 trans. so thats not a problem.
I've thought about building... flame now!!!.... An Iroc Z28 with a Warhawk LSX motor in it... But I cant see myself getting out of the Benz. One ride in my car, you will know that 11.55 only means I'm a bad racer. Its just blistering. So with that said, If I cant fix my driving, I'll just add more power. Honestly I think the 55k is a more realistic option.

I would suggest just building your motor up. There is nothing terribly special about the 55k engine compared to yours. Lower compression and maybe stronger rods. These are both easily done better than stock with less money.
If you are going bigger why not find the limits of the current engine. Turn up the boost and see what happens. Also 5.0 blocks and 5.5 blocks are the same. Just the stroke is different. The weak link in the blocks is they are open deck. The pistons are low tension rings stock. A sleeved and closed deck block would be able to handle very high power levels.

The M156 engine was tested on the plattform of the W203 before the W204 was used. The reason for this was the easy mount of this engine into the car. The CLK front end and the same Most Databus make it much easier. However you will need to use a 7 Speed Tranny to make it work properly...

The bullit fits a 65. I don't see why not. I would get a 65 drivetrain and do the swap off whatever car you like as they're all the same parts from 65 to 65 drivetrain wise. I would also swap in the 215 diff with LSD from the 65's, just make sure you use all the same carrier and the like as they are specific to the w203 not the other bigger bodies. (The diffs run different cross members I believe).

I am handing this block over to my engine builder to start working on is as an R&D project. If the block comes out nice, I will proceed with getting custom pistons, rings and rods made. If it fails, all I lose is a core and some addional material and labor costs with minimal markup.

If you do that then you can bore all the way out to the edge and possibly get to a true 6.5L motor. Even the AMG 65's are really only 6.0L motors although with 12 cylinders.

Once the scalable MAF was solved by Gary & Vadim the 1-1/2 project had a breakthrough.

Personally I wouldn't bore out a treated block like the 55s.. What I need to know is. Other than the cams whats the difference from a 55NA head to a 55k head?
We did some really awesome tricks with this NA motor to make this AMG supercharger work, and work well. From the bypass valves, to the throttle position switch that will disengage the supercharger clutch when I let off the throttle. We even have a cockpit switch that can completely shut the supercharger down if you dont need it. No need to boost in traffic. It makes for a great valet device. So those hacks cant beat on it. Its so stock looking those guys would have no idea what it is.
FYI: my car makes a whopping 240whp! when I shut the blower off.. When I turn it on it makes 482whp.. It is really the fastest and slowest C55.
Hay 240whp is all you need when you're bumper to bumper or just chillin at 65mph.

The heads are the same. Otherwise I would have gotten a long block instead of a short block. I also had the heads ported/enlarged and oversized forged REV valves so they actually flow better than 55K heads. We compared the SL55 heads to my ported heads visually side-by-side (Havoc's motor) and the difference was significant. That's why I went from 8.3psi to 6.1psi using the same 70mm pulley.
Once I upgrade the headers and open up the exhaust some more then the boost will probably drop another 1lb psi or so. So I can really go to a 60mm SC pulley with extreme wrap and possibly 180mm crank with smaller alternator pulley since I got so much more room to add boost with greater flow.

I thought about putting in a 2jz..but that thing is so heavy since its a iron block. Its 750lbs with the tranny. I guess it would be ok if your just into drags since you can go 1000whp + with those engines. But it'll definately kill any twisty or canyon performance.
I say drop in the v12. Dropping in a e55 engine would be more of a side ways upgrade in my opinion.

Hooley your car is nuts. I'd hate to see you yank out all that work.
I say buy another MB possibly an older model in need of a motor. I've always thought a 190 evo with a 383 chevy or something of that caliber would be cool.
