Paint it black first, then apply the CF

I was thinking about that first, but the main reason why I'm doing the vinyl is so I can peel it off if I ever wanna sell my car and go back to stock.

so, I got the film, and I bought super sharp knife, well.. this film doesn't work like clear bra. I was pretty familiar with clear bra, but not this. I gotta keep working.

Haven't used heat gun yet, but will see how it turns out...

Are you using an exacto knife or just a really sharp knife?

I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
If you're applying this there are a few things that I think most of you know-but some may not-
clean the surface well.
Clean it again.
Clean the area you're applying too.
Use an exacto knife-they'er cheap-so are the blades-dont streach the fabric when you dont have too-and keep your finger tips.
always lay out what you want to do-dont try to install while the part is attached to the car-you're asking for crap results.
Dont forget to clean.

And use a heat gun and a plastic bondo applicator! Without heat the material doesn't like to stretch. I wouldn't even attempt same without.

Exacto knife, I bought it with 10 extra knives so I can keep changing it to have more consistent cut... picked up at officedepot for 9 bucks...

Good point... don't clean with just a water... use either hot soapy water or alcohol...

After ordering and working a bit with some of this stuff and reading from other forums, do not stretch the film too much with heat. Stretch only as little as you need because if you stretch it out a lot it will come undone/bubble when heat hits it again (i.e. engine cover application/areas exposed to sun).

Hi, its best if you are two persons. I need 4 hours.
