It looks slightly ghetto and was supposed to be temporary, but it has actually worked quite well. It's covered up by the cabin filter, so no one really sees it anyway. Here's a pic:
a new tie down comes with the battery from needswings and its a drop in replacement!

josh i dont think the s/c cutoff will do what you want. remember hooley's car had a v-8 with a blower added. so when the s/c is cut off the engine is still producing the oem amount of h/p. yours on the other hand has much lower compression due to it was built from the factory to have a s/c. cutting the s/c off at 70mph will drop close to 100 hp from the engine and gas mileage will suffer drastictly just like when the i/c pump fails and the s/c shuts down
josh i also met a guy locally that added a c/f diffuser to his c32. it had dual cutouts. a muffler shop put a dual inlet /dual outlet muffler in the resonater position then dual pipes and tips out the rear. deep and rumbly. they ran the pass pipe behind the diffuser then out. looked clean and sounded awesome!!

to do list
full repaint
rolling fenders on july 5 then drop the car
perm. fix for the crappy rear dif!!
headers and true dual exhaust
done list
adj konis
goodyear dr's on clk rims
c3 pulley saver kit
needswings catch can
oz wheels!

i would suggest replacing all four arms together. I thought only my driverside ball joint was shot too, but when my mech took all of them out the passenger side looks fine, but it is just as bad/loose as the driver side's.

all four arms only $260 from rmeuropean anyway.

oh well i replaced my right side last year when I hit a curb so they're good. The left side is shot; I can hear it clunk when i come to a quick stop. It was going out anyways but it started clunking after my last track event.

Thanks for the tip though. I'll check them out.

Am I retarded or can I not find the arms/balljoints on rmeuropean.com?

WHY didn't I know about this site earlier!? Ugh, even with the hook up at the dealership I was still getting ripped off for parts.

Brake Pad Set Front $78.00
Brake Disc Front $98.80 x2 = $197.60
Brake Pad Sensor $4.54 x2 = $9.08
Brake Assembly Lubricant (3.5 oz. Tube) $12.16
Control Arm Left Front Lower $66.59
Control Arm Left Front Upper NOTE: Includes inner bushing. $73.49

Total: $436.92

Not bad for everything. Now all I need now are rear tires...bald after 5 months lol.

lol...I need new front tires too. the T1R with the soft sidewall killed the inside of my front tire. did not have this problem with my PS2 on 18". what sucks is that the rest of the tire are like 80% tread left...and flip them wouldn't work either since one tire already has inner weave showing...

thats a ***** deal right there. My hankook ventus v12 evo held up just fine and the fronts are doing very well even after a hard track event that ate up my front brake pads.

The rears however lol...are about to show the cords. I'm torn on buying a drag radial or another set of high performance tires because I would like to see how my car does at the track with the nitto 555 drag tires since even with new performance tires I can't go WOT until 2nd gear...

You can the hella ones for around 40-60 dollars online? Someone posted a link a while back and I bought mine online for pretty cheap.

If you respray your bumper definitely look into a 3m stone guard.

supercharger on/off switch AKA the HOOLEY button...should lower my IATs when sitting at a light and improve gas mileage on highways when i want to shut it off Thursday!!!

secondary cat delete AND possible full true dual exhaust

finally install my NW oil catch can

possible custom intercooler project (not heat exchanger)

also, possible vinyl wrap. unsure right now if i just want to do the rough or the whole car in black or matte black.....and also not sure how either would look with stock rims

replace crank position sensor......mine hasn't gone yet and i just passed 93k. it's bound to go soon. better not go on my long roadtrip to TX.

AND finally: fix my ground. gonna get a hardcore grounding kit i think. i still have that 1 dollar speaker wire as a ground and it is working for the most part fine, but it looks tacky lol.
updates indicated in red!

In the past two months have scratched off the project list:
A Service
Coolant flush
Windshield
A few new hoses and seals
Tires
Fog lights

For the fun/dream mods I will still like to get:
C3 coolant tank
Lip spoiler
A set of winter wheels/tires (OEM of someone is selling)
New steering wheel and paddle shifters
And whatever else the boss will let me have…

The rotors look so much bigger when they're off the car. Akebono euro pads. Can't wait to get them on and get my stopping power back.

Check out my recent mod

Got it online for like $20, now if I could only get it to work. I have been pondering what I would need to get a keyless go system to work for my car.

Here's a list of parts:

R/L front door handles for keyless go
R/L front door locks for keyless go
R/L front door modules 4 total I think
various receivers 4 as well
Keyless go module in the rear of the car
Trunk handle for keyless go
misc. wiring
Maybe a new EIS so I could have a keyless go type key
and a whole shifter for keyless go

From parts.com, the price for parts alone is right around 1k

I would still need to have every thing programmed, installed, and get a new key programmed for my car.

Check out this link: w211 keyless go diagram
