Replacing the Parking Lamp in Bi-Xenons

Quick question before I make a purchase. I want to remove the yellow colored parking lamp bulbs from the bi-xenons on my C32. The bulb is a W5W and is available in a bright white LED which would match the headlights quite nice.

Will the LED bulb cause any problems? Do I need to stick with a regular gas bulb and find the whitest one available?

Didn't work as in wouldn't light up or caused error codes. Were they quality LED's or cheap ones from eBay? I'm just trying to get a white light closer to the look of the projectors.

Thanks for the quick reply Jon.

I have them in my parking lights. I got them off ebay and they work fine. I just made sure to check in the feedback that other people had installed them with no CELs. If you get the correct ones, they have transistors so they won't throw CELs. Be aware though, on mine, the car also doesn't tell me when they are out.

Sounds good, I'll get some with the built-in load resistors I found online. Thanks for the info.

a quarter mile at a time
Some LED's 194/168 wedge LED's will work, some will error. It's really a hit or miss. Sometimes LED's that are the same will behave differently.

There is a way to ensure the city lights will be error free. If you are good with a soldering iron, you can solder a resistor to the base of the bulb and it will still fit.

I did some reading and found that Polarg makes decent LED's and went for it.

Shipping on their website was over $10 for a tiny little package so I found them on Amazon for the same price and much lower shipping costs.

They don't have the built in resistors but were advertised not to throw a code. I'll see how it works out and post a picture or two when I've installed them.

They didn't work and caused the error lights. I don't remember where I got them from though. I still have them though if you would like I can take a picture of them for you.

I thought I read some where that another MB (the CL?) used blue tinted bulbs to give a whiter looking light, anyone?

I have tried a few LED ones and not found one that works yet

I listed the part # on the thread, but it wasn't very clear. Just take the part# and pick them up at your local dealer.
