Well I am done looking.... I got a 2005 Diamond Black/Charcoal C55 with 68K miles for $17K. It is a one owner car and was serviced by a single MB dealer for it's entire life. As is typical of dark FL cars it has the typical lovebug damage on the front end, I will eventually get that fixed but it isn't too bad. It has Mandrus Milleniums, Black with polished lip, running some big rubber, 235s in front 265s in rear. Will have some pics up soon. It has rain sensing wipers, bi-xeons, No Command (fine with me my EVO 4G does a great job with navi).
The dude also threw in 18 months of Sirrius, I figure he must have already paid for it Something else that will take a little to get used to it has 15% on sides and back and 35% on entire windshield. it is dark in this thing. but great for my afterwork westbound drive.

A few questions on this one

Has anyone used a cartronic's BT setup with the regular stereo?
What was factory warrantly length? I ask because I found the factory extended warranty card which is good for 2 years and to 100K. I think it is out of extended just wondering.
Also found the guys cool AMG Owners card. How do I get MB to send me one now?

Any pictures? I want to get my windshield tinted, but it is sandblasted a little from being a Florida car so I torn about replacing it. But then I worry about something wrong with replacing the windshield such as water leaks and such. Ugh.

The warranty is 4 years or 50k miles from the in service date, your dealer can tell you when exactly it started/ended.

Looking for a nice AMG Tree Flat badge. but don't want one that is just a sticker want something engraved. Thinking about doing the blacked out tail lights, blacked out grill, the blacked out internal headlight chrome. Hmmm guess I want to go with the blacked out look.

Advans has the most murdered out car...check his pictures out if you wanna see a pretty much murdered out c55.

I'm going for more subtle black touches since I want to keep my oem chrome strips. I think the only things I'll do next in terms of more black is powder coating my wheels and tinting the rear...not blacking it out since i don't want to be pulled over all the time.



Here's mine with the black housing headlights, tint strip, 3m di-noc'd grill and cf lip.

I don't want to go with a Star Grill, I want to find a black grill that looks like the stock one maybe even still have the chrome strips but going with black chrome. I was also thinking of seeing if I could find Black chrome to replace all the the factory bright work.

Here is a question for everyone
the recommended tire pressure for the factory tires is 33 front 37 rear.
now that the fronts are 235/xx/18 and the rears are 265/35/18 (don't remember the front aspect ratio) the tires have a 50 psi max rating, any idea where I should put the pressure? for optimum tire wear and handling?

Put the front and rear at 33 psi. 37 PSI wears the center out too much in the rear. You never use the max pressure on the tire unless you are using the max weight the tire is rated to handle.

I would say go with a replica brabus grill if you can find it. They look amazing if they're made correctly.

I haven't contacted MB USA yet about the extended warranty. But looking at the car fax Mercedes Dealer did pre-delivery inspection 6/5/2005 and it was registered to the owner on 6/11/2005 so that tells me that I have roughly 1 year and 32K miles left on the extended warranty. because the 4 years warranty would end 6/11/2009 so the 2 year would have started on that day so I have like 11 months to todays date. LOL
