for the exact reasons i have already stated countless times in this thread why it's not worth getting.

1) my car wasnt faster as i had tested in countless races from digs and rolls (that were filmed)
2) it is harder to launch. more wheelspin from a dig = ur f*'d in the 1/4
3) i can reset my TCU aka the "sneaky ECU reset" and get the same feeling...and i can do it for free

it only "feels" faster b/c the throttle is advanced. it wasn't for me.

lol, look at your mod list. Did you buy and sell the SB BEFORE you had all the mods installed, or sell it after? I'm surprised you haven't sold your 185, and had it re-tuned back to stock because it's harder to launch and you get more wheelspin. (sarcasm alert, sarcasm alert)

i had a sprint booster back when i had just a code3 intake, a renntech tune, and an evosport 178 mm crank pulley. i wasn't AS heavily modded....but, that's still modded. i bought it and sold it while having that setup.

It should be. I don't get why the SB gets so many people fired up. I especially don't get why people that don't have one are so passionate about telling everyone else how stupid other people are for buying it.

My point is that it was a solution for the lag/dead throttle response that plague so many Mercedes. Before the SB you never knew how much to push down on the pedal becuase three things would happen: 1) The car would fall on it's face. 2) It would slowly build power. 3) It would take off like a rocket. Two of which are bad when you're trying to smoothly apply power out of a corner.

Even if you pressed the pedal to the same position, it seemed to always be a different response. Obviously this was all before tunes were readily available. It made a huge difference on stock cars. Period.

.
A-freakin-men. The "adaptive throttle" is probably a non-issue for those who have the luxury of wide open roads and no pedestrians, other cars, etc. all around -- if you consider having to drive 10 miles for a quart of milk to be a luxury of course. However, it places a major penalty on us city slickers who must use our cars in stop and go traffic.

When you drive like that, the throttle dumbs things down, assuming you're driving in a funeral. So when you need those 349 ponies, they ain't gonna be there for you. I swear, one time I actually called in a pizza order on my cell phone and practically got half way through cheese, sausage and mushroom before full power finally kicked in and snatched that phone right out of my hand! I'm of course exaggerating, but not by very much.

With the SB, the car feels edgy in all driving conditions now, just like I want it. Again, of all my mods, this one was probably my best investment in terms of making the car more fun to drive.

Its funny that the naysayers can be so technical in that they come off as subject matter experts...and continue to say SB is a waste of money...yet these same people I bet buy cosmetic junk for their vehicles. SB works. If not, the product wouldn't last in the market.

Thread revival , lol .

The Sprint Booster in a vehicle with good traction would be quicker . It's not going to be quicker in every application but that was not SB's intention .

It is definitely worth the cost, every new performance vehicle basically uses this same tech from factory with featured in various drive modes. I look at it as retro fitting modern tech, it modernizes the feel of the car, especially for this era 722.6 transmission.

Here is my final thoughts, check channel for initial review and other modification videos...

I bought mine directly from the vendor. It was $10 more (free shipping) but they had it in stock and I received it three days later. My dealer is installing it next Wednesday (1/15). They're requiring I sign a disclaimer waiver since it's an aftermarket part.
