Inclination of arm rest

OK this should be a simple one to figure out but I still haven't yet.

How do I change the inclination of the arm rest? I see pics where it is raised and slid forward. the Manual is of little help it points at button 1 and says pull up on arm rest.

Thanks in Advance

Pull up the armrest just a little bit as if you were opening it. I believe there's three levels.

Exactly, don't pull the lever in the front to open it, just grab to the side and pull up. It has two elevated positions. Not sure about the sliding forward part though.

You sure do get up early. I know the earlier C32's did not have this feature but you could add it by changing out the arm rest. I'm happy with the way mine works.

a car.
I have to be downtown at 6:30 buddy, does yours raise up Loud? I know mine does but I don't think it slides forward.

Oh btw, I ordered the pieces for my custom exhaust, just bought a rear diffuser about 10 minutes ago on ebay, have my springs sitting at home and should be getting my C63 style wheels in next week. The car won't look anything like the last time you saw it.

Looks like this is another thing to add to the 'Things I learned about my car an embarassingly long time after buying it' thread. Funny thing is I've always noticed when I pull up on the armrest it would 'stick' at certain points. Sad thing is I didn't realize that was to adjust the angle of the armrest. I always thought it was just getting stuck as it was trying to open all the way.

One of these days I really am going to read the manual, I swear.

Awesome, let me know if you need a hand with any thing and I will be there to help. I like being able to get some experience to be able to do the same thing to my car. I have a lot of different projects going at once for my car as well, I just haven't had the time. What do you plan on doing with the factory wheels?

Are you serious. I had no idea that it was meant to do that, I always thought that I opened my arm rest incorrectly or the thing was meant to come out like that.

Hopefully you aren't being sarcastic because it would be slightly reassuring that I wasn't the only person who didn't know it was supposed to happen, hehe.

Yeah pretty much. But seriously, given the various electrical gremlins we encounter, is it really a stretch?

No, I'm serious in all the time I've owned it I thought that it was due to poor engineering and never saw the point of it. Kind of makes sense, lol.

I have the old style that you can only open up, but by using one button you can raise the arm rest up a bit.

this is why I thought it slides forward this pic of one looks like it is slid forward over the cupholder.

But no matter I can't even get it to raise up much less slide forward, either mine just doesn't do it or I just don't get it
