Overall it fits rather good, and looks very nice! Although I don't have my DSLR right now, and the night pictures are horrible on my point and shot. I'll get some better photographs when possible. A few people were saying it's garbage, and wouldn't fit at all... I don't think anyone else on the forum has installed this one. Had to place a screw on driver side because it required a decent amount of force to bend in place. Slight design flaw I guess... Loaded that entire piece with red label 3M tape. I finally got another front lip spoiler installed too! It won't be coming off this time! My brother, and I installed both this afternoon.
looks good! A few people with non amg have the same diffuser. They have been using some kind of epoxy/glue/silicone and clamping it over night and haven't had any problems. I have the dual diffuser and fitment was fine.
These things seem next to impossible to put on unless you screw them on. I have the 3 fin custom made one and have gone to 3 bodyshops that wouldn't guarantee it would stay on without screws. Some of the ones on ebay suggested to use glass glue?
The screw is placed on the driver side edge of the spoiler. You can see where I drilled the diffuser in the bottom side photograph. Good thing is you can't see the drilled area unless you lean down to look at the underside. I used multiple rows of red label 3m doubled sided tape for installation, and of course the one screw. Might place another on the other side, but it seems to be holding just fine. For the sides you will want to place a row of 3m right at the surrounding edge or it sticks out slightly. If you go more towards the center it doesn't grab.
Looks good but Can I ask why you have the tow hitch installed?
Lost the cover, and a new one painted is over $70 dollars... Going to buy those racing tow hooks (black) on ebay for front and rear. Should look nice.
Please post daytime pics. Who is the Ebay seller? THX
Will do when possible. I'm always at work during the day... Ebay seller is gofashionshoppe. Purchased for $200 shipped.
Is this diffuser functional at all? I don't know a whole lot about aerodynamics.
Since it's not an original piece and just fabbed by someone in Taiwan for aesthetics, I'm going to say that it's not. Any improvements in down force or decreases in drag are purely coincidental. It may be functional, it may not be. However, you can be sure this was never tested in a wind tunnel, so who knows. Bry
I would have to say looking at the diffuser it would do the opposite of what a diffuser should. I see it creating less down force on the rear at high speeds.

purpose of the diffuser is to bring the air under the car out cleaner with less turbulence to reduce lift. they're not there to create downforce. you have a trunk spoiler to create down force. you can custom fab two or three vertical piece and they will still do their job, but as autotechnica anything these diffuser does on the w203 would be coincidental. lol
looking good btw just need a trunk spoiler to complete that look for the rear.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for the explanation. If the purpose is to reduce lift on the rear wouldn't it in reality still be creating more downforce by aiding the trunk lip aerodynamic efficiency?

That will with no doubt be my next appearance update. Just need to save up some money for a while. Next purchase will be a eurocharged heat exchanger.
