The car looks great. How did you get your hands on the 3-slat CLK grill? Do you know if a W204 C class grill would fit?

Also, how much is the flat hood badge? I didn't see a price on the sticky.

Thanks man.

The clk grill is a direct swap over since we have the same front end. Some w209 owners have been swapping over the stock c55 grill to theirs for a different look. I don't think the w204 grill will fit.

I think you can find the flat hood badge on ebay for ~30-40 bucks or so.

How much should one expect to pay for that grill if you just went out and bought it? I saw some but they were over a hundred bucks on eBay I'm trying to bargain shop

Looks great I like the grill, you can get the OEM flat hood emblem from the dealer just ask for a W204 one and it will fit. How do you keep your exhaust tips so clean?

no worries man. I saw a grill with that on a clk63 black series, except he left the chrome and put the 3m cf on the rest of the slats...I just flipped it around. I left the star too because a) couldn't get it off without breaking the plastic and b) I don't want to completely murder out the car.

I spent sometime actually with a razor and carefully scrapped off the built up carbon on the bottom half of the tips. Then spent a buncha time with a good metal polish (i used mothers this time) and went through a buncha rags and old socks to polish the tips up.

Now since that base layer of carbon is off I just spend about 5-10 minutes on the tips after every other car wash.

Yah they're nitto 555 drag radials so they have soft sidewalls and actually let me punch it in 1st gear.

I dont think you can go much lower in the rear w/ those fat *** tires :P You could drop a couple inches up front, but knowing you... Id suggest coilovers, but you're gonna want even fatter tires soon.... Ya id stick w/ springs and dampers if I were you. (renntech springs have a really good ride height for c55s )

I'm thinking I should get the koni adjustables + renntech springs? If I drop it I might have to go back to 19"s because my front end is low already...its tough already getting out of the driveway without scraping...hell the under part of my lip looks like someone took steel wool to it because its so scratched up.

Hah well a smart man always has multiple back up plans in case of such an event. I still love your rims but I just wish they came in like a hyper-silver or even regular silver color though...

Thanks for the comments guys! Here's one more pic with another toy in the garage

This sounds like a good idea to me... you might want to consider getting the thickest set of rear pads for your install though. Your rear tires are pretty tall...

I say ditch the front lip and go low. (boo wheel gap!)

The rears aren't permanent...going to take them off soon as the season is over...AND I DIDN'T EVEN GO TO THE STRIP ONCE!!! Over before I knew it...

I think the drop is in order after I install my freaking control arms sitting in my garage for the last coupla months + alignment.

Gotta wait though until after my "friend" from SLC comes and visits me next week
