You can find it at google videos, whats nice about the Z06 is its quiet light and has a very happy revving and torque crazy engine.

Drawbacks I see with my car, I haven't driven a C55 but what I noticed is that lack of Intake upgrades, cant fit wide tyres and would like to get a faster shifting gearbox.

I've been upgrading my car for the last 3 years and getting it closer to what I want, I cant imagine if I had the SLS gearbox on it with the Kleemann S/C I'm about to install..insanity in the making.

Upgrades I think they should offer, wider selection of camshafts somewhere in the pricing of american muscle camshafts which seem more reasonable. Not many tune AMG's generally speaking but I got another perspective since being here in the forums. There should be pistons available to lower the compression so you can tune the engine more and increase the boost. Also another thing is that the gearbox on my car cant withstand anything above a certain limit of torque not sure what it is but I estimate exceeding 550tq.
check out youtube. there was a video of a twin-turbo C6ZO6 around. that is an awesome car.

btw, you can actually make your R171 lighter if you are willing to sacrifice the convertible function. I'm sure taking out the motor for the roof would work. kinda like the SL black.

Keep it as it is, SLK has to have the roof come down when the weather is

I'd rather have a 997 Turbo S rather than an overpriced Corvette. At least it pretends to have 4 seats and will match it pound for pound in performance.

On another note, I've beaten a C5 Z06 in my car, so they are killable. I won't challenge a C6 Z06. You were a brave man to bite a ZR1. Foolish, but brave.

I'm actually surprised he even raced you.

I wouldn't even waste time with a c55 if i was driving the ZR1.

In my 32, I would have raced him also even though id know I was gonna get KILLED. Its another way of admiring the performance of another car, to see how much FASTER it is than your car.

+1, one of these days a TT with Sport Chrono is going to sit in the garage. Preferrably a 10 or 11 model.

Who cares if you got smoked. Alot of cars would loose to that car. 0-60 in 3.3 is VERY FAST. But just think.. Your car is built in Germany by craftsman and his car is slapped togeather by Union workers in the USA And believe me I have a 600BHP Corvette that is very fast but yet its poorly built and I will admit that.

I would too... but to be fair, the 997TTS is ~$50,000 more, MSRP, than a ZR1; one would expect it to be quite a bit nicer to command that premium.

a ZR1 and a IS-F for the money of the turboS. the best of something not German. LOL and yes, i consider those two very good cars.

I definitely agree, but I'd take a C63 over the IS-F, or an M3 (4 door).

And yeah, don't fack with ZR1s. Lol

I guess if we talked about getting a car that isn't a ZR1 but is around the same price, I'd probably go for a CLK63 (with change to spare), a slightly used Porsche GT3, Audi R8, GT-R R35, slightly used Porsche Turbo, etc.

Hell, you could even pick up a gently used Ferrari 360, and granted, you won't be as fast, but you will still be wayyyyyy cooler lol.

But really, I don't knock vettes except out of good fun. I have always respected them once I saw the first C5 Z06 in action. I just wouldn't buy one personally.

I was temporary duty at Ft. Knox (in Kentucky) for 3.5 months. That place blows. Thank you for bringing back unwanted memories.

I would actually go for a R35 Skyline GTR over the 997Turbo and ZR1, the difference in price I would use to modify it maybe some tastefully done exterior modifications and interior carbon fiber, horsepower around 850hp, would be a good daily driver too.

yea, M3 (e90) is great. my buddy just lemoned his e92 coupe for the e90 sedan. i drive his car a lot, so it's not a problem.

c63 tho...i can't stand how the front bumper looks and how much gas it has to use. lol

is-f is cheaper and packs the most stuff standard. I was truly impressed after attending a Lexus test drive event.

You did, bro. I was commenting on your fairytale pricing of new R8s. And oh, snap you got me with all your eBay listings.
