Anyone know where the cheapest place to get a Johnson CM30 pump from? Thanks!

I see them a lot of ebay for $150 shipped... Not sure if that's the cheapest though.

pretty simple actually. All you do is jack the car up on the passenger side and remove the tire and fender liner and its right there. plug and play basically

Just don't forget to let the air bubbles out.

Honestly, It looks like a very simple swap. Its two bolts and two clips that hold the entire assembly together. It's a pain in the a** though. The rear clip is in the stupidest position and the whole project is very awkward. I did it and I had wished I payed someone to do it for me. But the CM30 but get a mechanic to put it in for you. It took me like 6 hours and I'm pretty good with cars. I've installed everything from subwoofers to coilover suspension but this project just sucked.

Do shops even let you bring your own parts these days? If they do I might get the Meziere pump and have them change my broken Bosch unit.

OMG grow some Nuts and buy the pump and change it all ready by yourself its pretty damn simple

here is the step by step.

1 brake torque on front right tire bolts
2 jack the fron right tire with the back under the trunk floor mat
3 remove remove bolts and take tire off
4 remove the front right wheel liner and the plastic piece right under the bumper you wil see the pum located right behind it..
5 remove bolts for the mounting bracket from the old pump
6 removed coolant lines and install in new pump accordingly
7 splice the power , reconnect and mount the new pump with the provided braket that comes in the package.
8 bleed system put everything back together in reverse order from step 4 to step one and you are done.................. if you are still confuse after this use google search bar.

Not all of us have the tools or space to do this, so no need to get offensive.
Like AMG3.2 said, it took him 6 hours, so I'd rather pay a mechanic $200 to do the job.

Yeah, no need to get personal here. Not everyone has 6 hours to dedicate to a project like this. I did it myself. Alls I'm saying is that its an annoying job...

not trying to offend but 6hrs?!? HOLY CRAP!!! what happened? did you remove the bolts by hand??

The problem was I couldn't remove the stupid clamps from the hoses, that was the annoying part. But I'm not going to argue any further. It's really the OP's thread.

The replacement is probably one of the easiest jobs to do on the car. I think it took me a little more than 1 hour and that's doing a coolant flush, refilling the coolant, and running a heating cycle to remove air from the line. I don't think I even took off the wheel, I think I just turned it to get access to the panel. The clamps were a bit tricky and there wasn't a lot of room, but you can use pliers to get the clamps off.

Maybe I'll try it then, since I got the Bosch HD pump, I guess it should be plug and play compared to the CM30 which needs some mods to fit.

@ apox, if you are going to own this car for a long time you need to start getting used to doing the litle stuff since you are going to be doing them over and over again sometimes to troubleshoot just an advice if you have money to blow go ahead plus for me its not about the money saved its about knowing that it was done right. the only tools you will for this whole car are found in walt mart 30 dollars mechanics tool set i bought mine 7 years ago and its still holding it own till today. on this car if something is taking someone a long time to do its because they are trying to figure out how to do it

If you are going to do this try to mount the pump as vertical as possible. the stock pumps failed due to the uneven wear of the brushes inside the pump. the stock pump was mounted horizontaly. you will get more life out of it this way.

I always have thought that myslef as Ford uses the VERY SAME Bosch pump in lightings and they NEVER go bad

My question for you is, how can you mount it verticaly as there is simply NO room
