...they're just for looks. at the speeds our cars are typically driven, these will have negligible effects on anything

The purpose of rear or front diffuser is to create or aid in down force at high speeds. Same goes for a trunk spoiler. I always laugh when I see these Honda's driving around with huge spoilers. The additional weight, and drag are only going to slow them down. I do wonder how the CF front lip behaves at high speeds. It clearly must add down force to the front. Looks as if it would force higher amounts of air into the center opening as well cooling the heat exchanger more.

well right....but not at the speeds at which we typically drive. and our cars have other factors that affect our drag coefficient more than the diffusers/lips would offset/improve at this point. if the car was already designed like an F1/Indy car, then yes it would make a difference. Not at this point. Maybe if you're going 150 in the car....maybe.

Only way to know for sure would be wind tunnel testing, and I don't think anyone is willing or capable of doing so.

Also, here's a decent photograph of the carbon fiber front lip spoiler so people can compare between the custom weather strip one.

Do you have any closer pictures?

I wanted to attempt to do this low-cost lip but when I align the sealer to the bottom of the bumper it doesn't seem to look anything like the pictures posted.

How were you able to maneuver the lip with the curves of the bumper? When I try to get the fitting down before placement it seems the rubber doesn't want to align well.

Cut a little triangle on the back part of it so it will bend a bit,
so u can go around curves

Whats the best way to mount it to the bumper?
Screws and 3m tape?
