C32 Custom Dual Exhaust and Diffuser
#26
Just had to chime it on this one. Looks great. I kind of wished you had not of done it because I already talked myself out of going for it but now that I see the finished product...wow. Next time I'm in Houston I'll take you up on your offer. (applause)

I've been thinking about putting dual exhaust on mine. I thought I remembered reading that you had to change the spare tire dish over to the one from the CLK. Is that right? Or did you just route around the spare tire? I can't quite tell from the pics.
Very nice install though, I like it. :

They look the same, I bought mine from this guy.

The quality was pretty good compared to some other ones I've seen. It's got some bulk to it and isn't at all flimsy.

I had to cut the second exhaust port out but I just clamped the diffuser in place and traced the opening with a dry erase marker. Used a Dremel with a cutting disc and bam, less than a minute later it was there. Smoothed it out with a sanding wheel on the Dremel and headed to the exhaust shop. They would have done it there as I assume most shops will but I had the tools. For installation I used 3M double sided ultra strength automotive tape on the entire back side and then clamped it on with 5 clamps to hold it for an hour. I ran a bead of black epoxy along the top and side edges after it was on just for good measure. I need to touch up the epoxy again but overall it's holding just fine.

Great project, the dual exhaust looks so much better on the C32 and it really should've came like that from the factory
Regarding the diffuser, I think I would've went with 3 fins but it still does the job I think
