Guru....

Hey Guru,
You said you got the car for around invoice....did you acutally mean MSRP?!? If not, then can you be kind enough to share the dealership you went and the salesperson you talked to? Are you in Sol Cal btw? Thx in advance.

Go to a dealership and only speak with the Sales Manager. If you speak with sales people, then the manager will have to pay them a commission and that raises your price. Ask the sales manager how much he needs to make on the car to sell it. It's usually around $500-$1000. Then start negotiating.

I helped my girlfriend get a car for $200 over invoice, but it wasn't a Mercedes.

Thx a lot for the reply.....I really appreciate the advise. Once I get my car, I want to meet with you in person to discuss some possible upgrades. I have been following your threads for some time, and you seem like a wise guy...and someone who really know their stuff. Thx once again.
