Hello everyone! Just purchased an 03 C32 with 87k. This will be my first foreign car. I'm excited and a little nervous too. Looking forward to combing the boards and learning more about my new ride. Probably doing some performance mods later on. The first thing I want to do is lose the standing star and get a new grill. Thanks in advance for the warm welcome!

Oh yeah why do you have C230 Wheels?
Ever1 is going to think you are a C230 poser with AMG badges

Congrats! We're here to help you. I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to lose the oem grill and replace it with a big star though..

Yeah, after I learned more about the C32s I discovered that they weren't the wheels that should be on the car. I don't know what happend to them. I don't think anyone else will agree with me, but I think I like these better. Maybe get them powder coated black or something. Who knows maybe I'll try to get my hands on the originals if the price is right.

Keep those wheels as snows. 18" or 19" in my opinion. Welcome.

Some OEM C55 /CLK55 rims or some 19" TSW Bremmas would look really nice. Love the color of your C32 though. Rare to say the least!

Yes they do look better than a C32 wheels
But you have so many choices

My first mod would be
Intercooler Pump
Heat Exchanger
Wheels+Coilovers

and maybe a tune to squeeze a few ponies out

New IC pump and HE are definitly first on the performance list. I've read good things about the EC HE. Followed by an intake, pully and tune.

Are the aftermarket intakes worth the $$$ or would I be better off just getting one from another Benz? Thanks!

I actually do like those wheels better than the stock C32 wheels. Heck, if you wanted to make a real sleeper you could take all the badges off and no one would suspect the power that thing really has under the hood. Though 18s do look much nicer.

IMO the best wheels that came on the W203 aside from the C55 split 5-spoke 18's were the '07 17" sport model 6-spokes.

hot color! def rare color on the C32 =]

as far as the grille...dont rush too much on gettin rid of the oem grille, theres so much options you can do with the oem grille! It is by far one of the best grille for the W203, other than the carbon creation or extreme dimension 3 slat grille. as far as the standing star, keep the standing star and replace it with the flat emblem; reason for that is you will miss not seeing that standing star once in a while when youre driving, and youd want to be able to switch back and forth =].

as far as the wheels...someone jacked your 17" amg dual split 5 spokes and replaced them with the C230 wheels, which is cool coz u also have many wheel options out there available.

well goodluck my friend and enjoy the ride! =] MORE pics!!

oh wait, i lied, the first mod you should do is RESONATOR DELETE!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will hear a mjor improvements lol

Red definitly seems to be rare. I haven't seen very many with this color at all. Spent a lot of time scrolling through the pic thread in this forum. White would be my first choice, but red is good too.

Thanks for all the tips/advice! Looking forward to getting things started.

I'll admit I thought about putting those wheels on my '02 for a while. Once the '07 sport wheels came out though, the "funnel" spokes looked dated.

The best thing I did was buying the 18" CLK AMG's from Wawy. I really like the C55 look on my car now.

Oh, and welcome to the family.

+1, love the Mars Red!!

Its just doesnt look like an AMG with those wheels though!! Lookin more like "poseur"

Mods: Tune, Pulley, Johnson Pump and HE should do it. Check the radiator, some early 03s had the "leaker"
