heres the new 32 to the stable

Just got back from the dealer and picked up a bunch of new relays. Cant wait to start the modding.

Stuff about to go on:
CF front lip
CF Carllson trunk lip
CF B pillars
Brabus pedals and door pins
Johnson cm30 IC pump
SL55 Y intake splitter
H&Rs
Semi flat black badges
Post-update headlights

Mods that will be coming soon (in order):
Brabus illuminated shift knob
authentic 2 piece Brabus Vs
black/blue C32 floor mats or Brabus mats(gonna suck to find)
wrapping the interior in real CF
Sprint booster
CF roof spoiler (flush on window type) if cant find in CF so may wrap one
Magnacore plugs
Eurocharged 185mm crank pulley and Jerry tune (winters the best time to tune em!)
Eurocharged heat exchanger
custom black suede interior pillars and headliner
quad exhaust with CF diffuser

Why is winter the BEST time to tune em?? When do you do the majority of driving. Assuming Spring, summer and fall?? Actually the best tune I ever got was at the track (even better than a dyno with its various and sundry "variables" )

recent threads have said its better to tune them in the cooler weather. Saw a couple people are having issues with their eurocharged tunes now. guess i shouldnt have said winter and more like around 47.5* with shop doors open while on the dyno

Another reason to put the badges I painted on. How high up from the moulding is it suppose to be do you know?

^ Ignore the idiot troll.

Swell 16V Cosworths you've piloted. Bought a new '87 Z-51 instead. Wasn't the last foolhardy decision I made.

I would say it's better to tune in the summer when it's hot. The hotter the temperature, the leaner your air/fuel ratios would be. If you tune in the winter, you would have to make your AFRs super rich to take into consideration the change in AFR's when the weather warms up. Makes sense to me. I generally aim for highest 12.0 and below on the hottest days. I run max 12.5 w/ the addition of a water/meth kit. In the summer if I tune for 12.0, I generally get about 11.3-11.5 in the winter. There's always a higher risk of detonation in the summer when it's hot. Running leaner in the winter isn't a big deal because the amb. temp. is so cold, therefore you really need to check your AFR's in hot weather.

Any more info on the shift knob? The OE C32 shift knob is peeling on mine. I might as well upgrade.

the brabus shift knob is in the mods to come section. I am still looking for one. When I had my C36 years ago they were always some on ebay and such, now they seem to be impossible to find.

Congrats on the new 32. I had to look twice at your name. At first glance, I thought it said AMGSC and was wondering why he would be buying a C32. Absolutely love your C36.

+1 Tune with the coldest weather in your region. I never got any CEL or any issues with the engine... Some people see problems when tuning during the summer and find problems in fall where the there is a big drop in temp. differences.

The Brabus Knobs looks very nice!

this is what i got: http://www.formymercedes.com/images/772-7225.jpg

SL55 Y splitter going on tonight, CF trunk lip going on tomorrow when its warmer, all badges drying at the moment, and all problematic relays replaced. Need tires so bad I cant even drive it. Dont know if I want to buy tires for the stock rims or not... plus if I did I need to put the H&Rs in first on #1s and #3s to see how much room I got there.

My laptop is fried so cant upload pictures just yet of the new mods and such. ***Can a moderator change the thread title to "AMGCs C32 ongoing build"

GIRLFRIEND BOUGHT BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER 2-TONE C32 AMG FLOOR MATS FOR CHRISTMAS!!! They must have been almost a grand and they are the black/blue OEM ones to match my 2-tone interior. Will have pictures of what brand new oem floor mats look like soon. Now just need to find a Brabus illuminating shift knob and my interior will be complete until custom alcantara pieces that ill keep on the hush hush for now
