Got a problem

So I pulled my 55 in the garage the other day and turned off the car. I heard a whinning coming form the engine, got out and noticed it started smoking. Popped the hood and found where the smoke was coming from. Unfortunately I don't know what I am looking at, will pull the part number and call MB but figured I would ask your guys input. Basically whats in the red square in the picture below, trying to fiure out the severity cause I can still drive it and have no error messages besides my liscense plate lights being out. Smaller red circle is where the plastic melted and spit out the smoke.

Help appreciated.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Secondary air

injection motor fried.
It might be able to be rebuilt if you live in a city with a good small electric motor rebuild shop.
If not have it tested or test it yourself and replace it.
You should hear it start and run when you start the car from cold in the morning it will run for about 2 minutes to help heat up the cats quicker then shut down.
If it failed you will get a secondary air code.

355 bucks amazon.com
see if autohausaz.com matches price with free shipping.
if it melted that's most likely what you are going to end up doing.
You will also need to check the fuse and relay in the fuse relay box.

However, he got >150 reads of his message, where my post, with a specific title, got 1 read in about the same time period. I think ambiguous titles intrigue people, so they read them more.

Maybe I just title all my future posts as "omg OMG WTF!!!!!"

Quicktwinturbo sucked! Up until I picked up some 17's with brand new blizzaks already on them for $600 bout 3 years ago, after that it was smooth sailing.

It also looks like you have a leaky head. Common problem with c55's.

What should I do replace the gasket or just tighten the screw? Guess I could just tighten see if that works and if not just repace the gasket. Guess I'll do it next oil change.

W203 C55 and SAAB 9-3 2.0T
Search leaky head in the C55 search box or take it to a MB tech and say "Whats wrong with this?" When he says "Blah blah blah = 10k" Post back and tell us what he said. We will tell you whats true and whats not! Or try too.

I pulled the part number of the part in my car and the bosch part number is 0580000018 MB A0001404285 but you gave a different part number for amazon, I just want to make sure I am ordering the right part.

Sorry to half-resurrect this, but any idea if this is the same secondary air injection pump as for the C32? It's the same Bosch part # as far as I can tell (from the DIY thread here); I'm just trying to find the cheapest replacement so I can pass emissions and finally redo my registration... from back in November >_>
