Off topic but...looking at a '99 SLK.
1999 SLK 230
Looks like a really good deal. Carfax looks clean. On Thursday I plan on going to look at the car and making the final decision to acquire the car. All things considered, it looks like a winner.
Opinions?

i think that's one hell of a steal. where is the location if you don't mind me asking? also, try posting this in the slk threads and see what they say and what you should look for when looking at the car. GL!

I've always liked the SLK. I remember being in awe the first time I saw one in the 90s. I've wanted one ever since! The one you are referring to looks well taken care of and maintained. However, do your homework and make sure that is definitely the case!

2003 porsche 996 turbo
pre facelift car. check seat heaters, pse pump k40 relay, top operation. theres some mods available but not much for the 4 banger. and you may find it a bit underpowered being used to the c32. although the price is good if you really want a slk i would suggest looking for a 2001 or newer 320

It's a beauty, and for the price, I got it for a HELL of deal. $6000.Now it's time to mod it. Just basics, though. Just put in a K&N filter. The pulley part's kind of irritating me. Would anyone here happen to know if it's possible to retrofit an '01 and newer supercharger onto the '99 engine?
And Scott...do you live in the same houses I do? O.o

Oh of course I won't neglect the C. I still need to get those Walker cats and suspension soon. Now about that supercharger...is it retrofitable or no?
