IS IT A IPOD HOOKUP NEXT TO THE CD CHANGER?

I just purchased a C32 2002 model. There is a plugin in the glove compartment to the right side of the cd changer. Is that a Ipod hookup. I hooked my Iphone into it and nothing happens?
Please help..

It is an AUX hook up. so yes Ipod. On the Comand unit hit SYS (bottom right button on the left side where radio, nav and all those buttons are) then go to settings, then you will see aux input. and BAM your ipods playing. I just bought a Dension Gateway to replace the CD changer so I can keep the ipod in the glovebox and control it through the steering wheel/comand buttons and have it turn on/off with the car not to mention stay charged.

If you have command, you can use your AUX input to listen to your device
If you dont have command then you wont be able to use it.
The sound isnt great for audiophiles but suffices fine.

A word of caution on th volume, have it up high on your ipod/iphone or else when you switch from AUX back to cd or Radio mode, you'll get a rude shock with the loud volume! It's not a pleasant surprise!

my c32 came with the changer, but no magazine. Is there a way to rip the changer out altogether and replace it with an aux cable so I can run pandora from my phone?

Very interesting, didn't know this. I have a 2001 C32 AMG, just went and had a look in the dark of night, couldn't see any aux input. Could you be a little bit more specific with its location?

You should be able to find a mag for it on here or ebay for a few bucks. The dealer I got my old W210 from had a box full of them laying around.

Open up the glove box, on the right wall of the glove dept you should see the AUX input

Harvey, the aux port is located in your glove box. Locate your cd changer, then look to the far right of the glove box. There should be a small port that faces into the car. I believe it's only on cars with the COMAND system though, I could be wrong.

Francois, can you please explain this bluetooth setup thats plugged into your aux point a bit better? I just picked up an aux cable to run from the glove compartment to the center console, but I'm not very happy with it. Bad setup in general.

ok guys I have an 05 c55. I plugged in my ipod and went to the "audio", then "aux" screens. The ipod starts playing but I cannot control it from my head unit or even the actual ipod....it just starts playing.
Am I supposed to be able to control features on the navigation head unit? If so, what am I doing wrong?

When your car was manufactured the ipod had only been invented for a couple of years, but you expect a six year old c class head unit to control it? Come on
