Chance to race IRP
On June 21 through 24, MBCA will run a performance driving event at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Sat and Sun are registration, Concours, banquets and performance classroom school. Monday and Tuesday are spent at IRP where we'll do performance driving school (with an instructor, if you're not experienced), acceleration run on the drag strip, autocross and defensive driving. See the section's web site at www.vecmar.com/mercedes for a registration form. Hotel rooms available ad discount.
There'll be at least 7 C32's at this event, and we have 4 SLK 32's signed up already.
Y'all come.

Jon, will be comparing timeslips both at the drag strip, autocross and the quasi road course. As each will be timed and compared to others. Beaver Run in July and VIR in Sept.
I expect to see you at one of the eastern venues this year.

Racing v. Driver's Ed
Jon, if you think driving 135 mph down a straight, hard braking into a sharp right turn is driver's ed, than you went to a different school than I did. This is truly performance driving. Although you're not racing wheel-to-wheel with other cars, you're on the clock for "time trials". You are classed with similar cars (C32's have their own class) and driving for time against some pretty good drivers. NormC32 is one of the best. Come on down and see what you can do. I've got a hundred bucks that you can't beat NormC32 or me on the track!

VIR competition
Jon,
By getting ready, I hope you're talking about removing all your "mods" This has to be an "apples to apples" deal. No Renntech mods, or mods of any kind are permitted in standard classes at MBCA events. My car is strictly stock, and it will remain that way.

You all knew my mods before making the challenge. I instruct at that track twice a year. The track makes Summit Point look like a joke. This track is as fast as the Glen. I know that it will be a fun time for all.

Ha Ha
Funny thread, ... gulp a fast track too.
Jon now looks like you have the "fish on the line".
RapidG, IMHO you might want to visit Vadim QUICKLY
I can "see" the signature now, suddenly RapidG has Evo Pulleys, Brembo big brake kit and prototype headers too!
Good guys!
My money is on Mach430 winning "most" on this

Challenge
Nah. If he wants to do a "straight up" challenge, I'm on. Neutral track, cars with same equipment. I instruct at Summit Point and Nelson Ledges. Lets say, BeaverRun at StarTack in July.
