Hello AMG owners,

AMS Performance Headers Final Run Price : $999 w/ FREE shipping (USA)

AMS is proud to announce it has finally reached its target price for its header line just under the $1000 mark. This is the last and final price drop before production is completely stopped in order to make room for all the new products AMS will be releasing in 2011. Once the current inventory is run out no new production runs will be done on this specific model.

So if you have been waiting to purchase your V8 headers, now is your last chance before they are completely gone for good. There are not that many left in inventory and orders will be processed on a first come first serve basis (no holding or reserving).

What kind of gains can be seen on the C55 with these? Are they direct bolt ons?

Haven't seen dynos on these BUT I'd guess 10-20 RWHP

These bolt up to the stock primary cats? What kind of sound difference is there? Is it common to have any on the exhaust bolts on these engines break or do they usually come right out?

Correct, these are 100% bolt on and require no modification to the stock downtubes at all. These are 100% street legal and do not modify the OEM emissions equipment in any way. They are also RHD and LHD compatible. They take about 3-6 hours depending on the shop. Rarely to the head studs break, just make sure you only work on the engine when it is completely ice cold, DO NOT try to install these while engine heads are warm, please allow these to be installed by a professional mercedes tech (independent shop is fine).


Here are some videos of our headers from a customers car, they are very popular amongst SLK55 owners. As you can hear, the AMS headers produce a very unique high quality sonorous meaty exotic exhaust note and produces no unwanted resonance or rasp at all. Only exhaust mods are our headers and high flow 2nd cats (watch in HQ):

Do you have any dynos for the C55, I looked on your page and only found the SLK and CLK (and I know the engine is the same, but just wanted to see a model-to-model comparsion)
