Off topic but... (M111 engine questions)

This SLK forum and SLK World haven't been terribly helpful. Not a lot of activity.

I can't believe how difficult it is to find a pulley kit for my SLK 230. What irritates me more is that my beautiful Kleemann kit I had for my old sportcoupe won't fit.

ASP only offers the pulley, but not the full MAF relocation kit. They also say it's needed. Is it *REALLY* needed for the pulley kit to work, or can I just get the pulley and tune it from there? Or better yet, is there another company that sells a pulley kit, or someone that has one lying around...?

I don't expect anyone here to have an answer, but anything will help. Besides, like I said, not getting much assistance in the relevant areas. :/ You guys are always helpful and on the ball.

Oh, finally looking at some suspension for the 32 as well. Been long overdue.

I'm not well-versed in how the M111K was different among U.S. spec vehicles. That said, my '02 C230 Coupe has had an ASP pulley kit on it since around 90k miles... now at about 185k, and still going strong - as such, based on my own experiences, I have no hesitation to recommend their product for your vehicle.

Absolutely no idea about MAF relocation, sorry... my kit was sourced and installed by a Euro-specialist indy shop, a few years ago. Car has had the stock tune it's entire life - so it appears the ECU was quite capable at handling the proper adjustments.

You mean a motor swap? Nah, I don't want to swap motors. I would've just bought another 32 in that case. I wanted a four banger to drive around, but that doesn't mean I can't tune it a little, heh.

And Scott, I had my tags for a while. Just didn't put them on. I put my tags on already. Let it go. :P

There is the option of porting and polishing the supercharger through Stiegmeier. Maybe a port/polish with a chip tune and intake would do nice enough?

Maybe you can shoot Hooley a message. He had a post on the m111k motor a while back in the non amg w203 section and had some experience working w/ the motor.

I went with the ASP pulley on my old Sportcoupe and was very satisfied. The MAF relocation kit is required on the old models w202 with M111k, not w203 2002 C230, and SLK230's with M111k.
