Anyone now anything about 05 C55 with BBS wheels?

Looking at Silver 2005 C55 with BBS LM wheels on it down in Miami. It was traded in on an E63. Was the owner on this site? Trying to get some info on the car before I make an offer.
Thanks Mike

That was MikeGpr03's car
Back in the day we used to get together
If you notice it has paddles. He was one of the few I have seen that has successfully performed the conversion.

I can tell you Mike took real good care of this car. This due was super ****
I think the dealer is asking a bit much tho.

Im surprised Mike left on the wheels. See pix here

Yeah this dude. I believe his name is Ken.

AFAIK BBS is reorganizing, not closing.
The BBS LM is made in Japan as is there entire line of racing wheels
If BBS goes under. The LM will no longer be manufactured.
Your better off buying one now instead of waiting. BC they will be scarce.
However you could order a replica set from Wheel Dude or Varrosten?

.
The white C55 was owned by SDsiverM3, Ling. The guy Ken you refer to goes by V8C55 or C55V8 or some combo of that, he has a silver clone to Lings 05 C55, if you go to www.ling-ly.com there is a photo shoot of the two cars and many others.

I almost purchased the LMs and KWV2 off of Mike, MikeGpr03, but was unable to complete it...I ended up with RAREAMGs full gunmetal setup. My car is a clone to Lings white one, except I have a black roof, gunmetal LMs and I'm not dumped--yet.

Well after driving all day, I met up with Mike at the dealer to show me the car. **** would be not be the word to describe how clean the car is. Mike is a class act guy and even gave me a bunch of parts that he had sitting around his house. His C63 is sweet but I think the hooked up C55 looks nicer than a stock C63. He says he is not going to mess with it but for some reason I find that hard to believe. I can tell you after seeing the steering wheel in the C63 I need one of those in my C55. Needless to say I ended up buying it and I am sure I will have plenty of questions. So I promise I will use the search button as much as possible and try not to ask too many newbie questions.
Thank you Mike for taking such great care of the car and when you are ready to get rid of the C63 let me know!
Mike

I was considering buying it... but they were asking entirely too much. I'm working on now that's CPO for $3000 less than that one was (that includes shipping and dealer fees, since I'm purchasing out of state).

Let us know how you like it! I hope you got them to knock off some dollars.

Congrats

They did not budge much. But how I look at it I don't have to drop another $10k on the car with new wheels, coilovers and other stuff that the car has on it. And the car is way cleaner than any other car that I have looked at over the past couple of months. Mike did an amazing job taking care of that car.

Yea the salesman wouldn't quit raving about what a clean car it is. You're absolutely right about the wheels and coilovers.... they do add value for the right person (almost everyone on this forum). Good buy!

I hear you about the salesman raving! I told him not to bust his bubble but I do not know him and all salesman will rave about a car. Then I came on here and found the other owner Mike. After speaking to him for about 45 minutes I was speaking to the salesman at 10pm telling him to hold it. The next morning drove down and picked it up.I can tell you the raving was for good reason, the car looks like a a brand new car on the inside. I told the salesman on my next car if you say it is as clean as Mikes car was I will totally believe you. I could not have asked for a cleaner looking C55. Hardwired my V1 this morning so the first mod is done.

No not stock, just the first mod that I had to do the car. I love the V1 been using them for about ten years.
I will have a hard time keeping the car as clean as he kept it.

I knew mike personally. He was super ****. I just spoke to his mechanic who sold me my car. We both agree we don't know anyone who is more of a neat freak than Mike

I like my V1. Saved the moose's hide several times in Georgia

Well I am thinking then that Mike was the perfect person to get a car from.
Now I just need to educate myself about the C55. Been reading old posts to try to catch up. Do you live near Mike? I was born in Miami and was there till I finished Miami Dade and went away. Probably moving back down there in a couple of years. I miss the cars of Miami, I have never been to a city that has more customized cars than Miami.

i live in North dade county but we met up a few times.
When i had a outpatient surgery, mike brought me stuff to fell better. Bit of a health nut. He had my H&R coilovers before he went to KWs. I almost bought those LMs off him as well.

You have it made with those paddle shifter. Mike swore he would not install those again. Out of the LM,the KW's, and the paddle shifter i dont know of a better mod with exception of Renntech airbox?

Told Mike I want to get the C63 steering wheel and he said he would install for me if I wanted to drive back down to Miami. So not sure where I would be able to buy one of those. Also do they not sell the Renntech airbox anymore? Went on the site and did not see anything listed.
So who do people recommend for tuning for this car?
