Have Code3; want more power
I currently have the code 3 pulley and intake and a Johnson cm30 pump. I want more power. I'm sure someone else has been in this situation before. What is the best path to follow from where I stand? From reading I see 3 options:
1.) Keep my current setup, add EC heat exchanger, needswings separation kit, and EC tune.
2.) Replace code 3 pulley with stock (and sell on here), order EC 185 pulley, Heat Exchanger, needswings separation kit and pulley saver, and EC tune.
3.) Add 178 pulley to my current setup, add EC heat exchanger, needswings separation kit and pulley saver, and EC tune.
My goal is mid-high 12's in the quarter. What would you guys suggest?
Also is it even worth it to replace my code 3 intake with full sl55 setup?
I love the code 3 intake sound, but if the sl55 setup gives substantial gains on the code 3 intake, i'd rather have it.

ok. why does everyone all of a sudden think you can run the code3 with any setup?
NO. you may NOT add the 181 or the 178mm crank pulley with the code3 supercharger pulley. you do NOT have enough fuel, and you will overboost your supercharger.....you will throw codes for the MAP sensor since it only reads max 25psi and everything will get F'ed up
if you want to run a code3 pulley with conjunction with a larger pulley, you'll need to upgrade your fuel system and port your supercharger.

Sorry I wasn't fully aware of that problem. I remember reading that the white Eurocharged c32 shop car had a combination pulley setup. I'm sure he upgraded his fuel system and ported the supercharger (that car did have nearly every mod available). So I really have 2 options left then since I don't plan on going that far with this vehicle. I'm still purchasing another AMG product and want to mod BOTH of them! My question now is "How much of a difference in REAL performance will I get with option 2 vs option 1?

Where can I purchase a stock supercharger pulley? I found the answer to my power questions: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...let-185-a.html

Work a deal so whoever purchases your C3P pulley gives you their stock pulley. What did you do with your stock pulley? You won't be disappointed with the 185 and tune!

My car didn't come with the stock pulley , I wish it did, it would be really easy to sell the code 3 pulley, return to stock, and order the 185 kit off of eurocharged.com I understand that the 185 pulley vs code 3 (both tuned) seems to be about 30 whp from other threads. If that doesn't make a big difference in my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, I may just get the Jerry tune, heat exchanger, and IC separation kit and stick with my code 3. I read somewhere that an 02 c32 with these mods dynoed at 354 whp which is pretty respectable. Gonna try to contact the seller of my vehicle about the oem pulley and keep searching for one online in the meantime; I'm still undecided about which route to take, but I'm sure either way I'll be pretty happy, I love this car

Regardless, get the Jerry tune, you will feel the difference and shifting is soooo much faster.
And if you get a 185 later, retunes for mods are free.

if you want a better idea of how "fast" a car is, the trap speed in the 1/4 mile is a better indicator, and 60-130mph times is another good indicator.
also, someone dynoing 354 means nothing. with those mods, i'm guaranteeing you it was on the highest reading dyno used to my knowledge (dynojet) and means nothing. the total power u see on a dyno is irrelevant. it's all about the change (delta) in power you see before and after modding. would that 354whp look as respectable if i told you his stock number was 310?
there is definitely a difference between the 185 and the code3 s/c pulley. it's at least 20whp. will your car feel faster? yes. will it be more torquey?? yes. it sounds like you want to make your car accelerate faster.....get the 185, retune (don't recall if u have an upgraded h/e on it or not...if you do, good...if you don't, get one)...and call it a day

Jturkel mentioned an srt-6 with Intake/Code3/LET Tune/Res delete that put down 354 whp.( may well have been a dynojet, i'd have to ask him) I think Gramma Benz made up my mind for me....... tune code3 and get heat exchanger and ic separation kit. I can get 185mm later and it seems from pm's that I could sell code3 pulley pretty quick

if you don't have a heat exchanger, do that first. you won't see full power out of any of your pulley setups, to be honest, until you've upgrade that.
and yes, the code3 is a valued item....they don't make them anymore (to our knowledge) so they are hot hot hot! lol
edit: DerHammer, i apologize if my posts are coming off with a negative tone. had a rough day and it may be evident in my writing. no negativity/ill-will intended

Wow I just read Jturkel's post after making my last one! He makes me really want the 185 pulley, ...... is it possible to buy the oem supercharger pulley anywhere? Or is it not sold separately? I'd trade with someone if I had to, but I'd rather not if I can buy the oem pulley.

No offense taken Jturkel,
I appreciate any and all help I get here, this is my first time actually participating in or even using an automotive forum for anything other than just searching for answers to problems.

Had the same situation pop up a while up.
Personally I wanted more power but would of needed a HE for a new 185mm and shipping that to Sydney isn't all that attractive. Instead I went with a remote stage 2 tune and also got a couple of things I probably should of done a while ago (K&Ns, intercooler isolation etc.)
I know my car is maxed out pretty much unless I change the C3 pulley to a 185 and get a HE and new tune and to be honest for me it's not really worth it. I smash most things on the road here and with the intake and resonator gone the car turns heads with the sound. I think my next car I'll be upgrading things too to a level but with this car getting a bit old it's really a question of to me anyway:
1. How much more power do want?
2. How much $$ do you have to spend or is it value for money exercise?
