There is a member on this forum who has a quote on the Kleemann long tubes at just over $2,000- and that "includes" installation (from an authorized dealer). Markup on the parts must be insane - given the quote he's got.

So I don't think its reasonable to have people thinking that $2,400 for the parts is a "ok" deal. That sounds more like "list" price to me.

$1k+ for 12-15 extra rwhp will never pass in my books.

At the track right now. Just to give you a comparison since you never tested it stock, I just ran a 13.5 first run. This was after driving an hour here and jumping straight in line. Now its time to let the engine cool off

yea i'm a quick learner too. i'll quickly adapt to launching correctly and choosing the best setting for racing. i've done 3 runs in my life. first was a 27second mistake. second was a 16 second wheelspin. and the third was a 14.5 with things i know i can fix like not using manual shifting and i launched weak. next time i'll be sure to get at least 13.5.

no doubt, you are just too eager on the throttle. Let the tires hook off the line and then let her go. Also dont let your friends ride with you. Ive never seen someone have a passenger on the track, that defeats the purpose. You are just asking to do worse doing that

Wow, I just read this whole thread. I literally just talked to Michael about getting a tune for my car. It almost seems as though I'm better off getting a dyno tune versus an off the shelf tune. I was about to get an off the shelf tune, but after seeing that Michael had to get a few different tunes to make the right power, I'm afraid that my off the shelf tune might be the wrong one for me and yield little gains...

Does anyone else have an off the shelf tune that has made positive gains. I mean more that 10WHP.

Just do the ecu flash with vlad and also pay the guys down the street for dyno runs.vlad will flash your car while it is on the dyno and make changes to your file as necessary to yield the most power. That's what I did.

a land yacht.
In my opinion I would just wait to get a tune/pulley combo. The tune alone is not going to add much more than 10whp, while with a tune/pulley combo you can gain quite a bit more. I got just an off the shelf flash through VRP a couple years ago which was supposed to give about a 10whp gain. You could feel it a little bit on the top end, but not worth the money I spent. This was VRP keep in mind, not Eurocharged, and VRP is out of business for a reason.

I guess one good thing would be that Eurocharged offers free re-flashes if you do end up getting a pulley and what not. But minds well just save the money on dyno tune till after you get some more mods.

But in the end, its your money so do what you want haha. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Aww man you really think only 10 wheel? That's kind of a let down lol

I just think that $800+ for the tune and pulley combo is too much for me.

I have the money, so it's not a matter of saving. I just don't see myself spending that much for those mods. Don't get me wrong, they are totally worth it. But I just don't want to spend that much. This is why I just wanted the tune, and I could call it a day. But I do appreciate your honest feedback so thanks for the pointer

EDIT- I could always machine down my OEM pulley to 69 or 70 MM. I called a machine shop that said they could do it for around $90, I'm just afraid of them doing something wrong or milling down the grooves the wrong way... Others have had success though.

Can't wait to see the results. Mines not eurochared but it does have an ecu flash. Made a huge difference, even the way the car shifts gears. Let me know how urs turns out..

Is there any way of knowing if the car has the eurocharged upgrade performed by the previous owner?
