Selling Mickey Thompson E/T Streets w/rims

I'm setting a near perfect set of Mickey Thompson E/T steets. You also get a set of 16" rims. I used this style drag radial for all my passes in my C55. After smoking my first set after 2 race seasons. I bought these M/T's of fellow MBW member and good personal friend Josh (Jturkel). Josh had these on his C32 and race 1 night with these. And to be honest, he didn't even do a good burnout.. Sorry Josh, but it wasnt that good lol. I took them off josh's hand to replace my old M/T's. Sadly I never got to use them as I totaled my C55. So they have been sitting in my garage ever since. Here is your chance to take the guess work out of finding a drag wheel and tire that will fit the C55 with no spacers. Its a direct bolt on, hub-centric set of wheels. Tire specs are 255x60x16.

the wheels and tires will fit C32,C55,CLK55, or any AMG that does not have the large AMG rear calipers. Some if the fastest AMG run these tires in this size. The hookup on a set of E/T steets, is second to none

Mark on rim is just tire mounting lube (I know that sound bad LOL)

That's a great price, the rims are $100 each and weigh only 19lbs. I have the EXACT same setup.

yeah I have no use for the rims because they wont fit on my SL55.Feeling the hook of Mickey Thompson is about as close as we will get to the feeling of being launched of a Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier. When I first launched my S/C C55 on MT's I thought I was going to pass out. I was able to hit a 1.56 60ft on one of my runs. I really wish I could use these, but I had to opt for an other tire and wheel combo for my SL

Being built as we speak and its Bad A**

Q on the MTs. Do they even spin at all on the C55 you had or just hook and go. My biggest fear is trashing the drivetrain on the "punch out". ONE guy on the forums either blew the diff or trans on his C32 with DRs. BTW, those MTs are some nice meats!!

Don't know about the diff or trans, but I broke my rear axle using MTs. But it was a lot of fun. I managed to hit 60ft in 1.80. Already fixed the car and purchased a spare axle in preparation for the new season.
I was experimenting with tire pressure and was lowering it bit by bit all day. At the end of the day I got to 14PSI and that's when i snapped.

Was she spinning with those MTs at 14 psi before the break or was it just hook up and go?? Some cars can really BOG if there's too much tire.

I knew it was something that broke , just couldn't remember?? Thanks for sharing.

I did a nice burnout after dodger63 poured some water into the box. He was standing behind the car and didn't see anything. I rolled through the pre-stage to the stage light. When the tree turned green I only moved 5 feet or so and that was it.
Here is the picture of the axle:

ONLY one thing could tear that apart like that...........The abominable Snow Monster!!!

Seriously, that the result of pure and simple physics: Torque!!!

Why didn't you just pre-stage without going through the water box?? I know slicks like heat, BUT you should've just tried a run at 14 without the water??

Because I was running this way all day with improving results. I started at 22PSI and kept droping 2 PSI at a time. At 14 PSI it broke. It would't be as much fun if you don't break your car once in a while. I think 18 PSI is the sweet spot for my previous setup. I now have a spare axle that I take to the track.
