Does blue top solenoid fits C32's?

Blue Tops
Thread resurrection below:
I have a pair of blue top solenoid valves if someone is interested. Tried them in my C32 but unfortunately, the valves didn't work. $250 shipped. (note this is 2 year old thread I do NOT have these for sale)
The C55/E55 guys swear by them (Mike aka Hooley did his) and so did several others. Gotta change oil and drop whole pan BUT they say it works for C55?? I dunno know about the C32??

The valve opening is larger in the blue top so it can push more fluid quickly. Basically faster and firmer shifts.
However from the general concensus of people that have done it is that it makes the car shift hard, almost like an old school shift kit, might not be comfortable for a daily driver.
Also from what I found out from research and my local parts dealer is that these are also use in the Maybach transmission.
Also to answer the question I do not believe it works for the C32 as it has as specific serial number they started it.
If I recall the deadline number that was given was trans 722.643.xxxxxx after that should have Blue tops as standard. You would need to get a data card for your card to tell your transmission serial #
Do a search there is a thread here that tells the deadline for the transmission and years etc...

What about modifying the stock c32 solenoids with a counter-bore like the blue tops have? If someone has a spare set they don't need I can use my car as a Guinea pig.... I can machine these no problem...

That is assuming the counter-bore and countersink is the only change. I wonder what the difference in the solenoids are.. Also we can machine different sizes for people that want softer or harder shifts...

i was thinking that the TCU was able to control that, and that on the C55 it's already maxxed out. So adding the blue tops and lowering the pressure in the TCU programming may work well.

They do fit the C55 and they do make shifting more firm... However down shifting (for me) seems a little out of sequence. When I would brake for a red light,it felt like the trans was over powering the brakes a bit. I found, with my slipping trans that these acted like a "Band Aid." Fixing the up shifts slippage form gear to gear. After a while my trans was shot and I needed a new set of clutch packs.
Since the c32 has a 722 . something trans. I would think they would fit and possibly help. Thats if you can live with the jerky down ****s. The best way to describe the down shifts when braking, is like you accidentally down shifted your car when you didn't want too. My old lady hated the way the car shifted, I told here it was no worse than the way she drives here manual trans nissan.

oops sorry about that. by the way, the drag radials worked well. the only issue is they don't fit with the stock lug bolts. For that day, I just used a few washers to take up the slack but in the future I'll be getting some real lugs installed or get some shorter stock lugs.
thanks!
thanks!

I've installed these on a good trans< . The down shift coming to a stop might be a little abrupt. in Sport mode , But if you are just cruising with friends on a dinner date thing ,or worried it may cause some comments, then use the Comfort trans mode. Cheers _PTEngineering

Hehe, still alive, the blue top solenoids fit perfectly. it works and make the shifts harder, but don't ask for the tcu that raise the rpm, if u raised the rpm u will get a delay between shift before it shifts, the blue tops help after it shift not before.
install the blue tops and ask Jerry for ecu/tcu that has stock rpm(6200 limiter).

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life.
Everyone complains about the hard downshifting of the car using the blue solenoids.
I was looking around and saw a video about a 722.6 transmission teardown. The guy mentions that, in this video the brown top solenoids, are for fluid pressure. One (trans plug side) is for modulating pressure and the other one is for shifting pressure.
I am thinking of making tests, using the blue top solenoids with the brown top ones combined, in order to look for fast shifting with controled smooth downshifts.
Any thoughts?
