I went to the Mercedes manuals site and the C55 was not listed. Where do I get one?

Are you referring to the manual that lists when your service is due, or the one that describes how to repair components?

The factory repair manual is very hard to find - even online. If you find one let me know where it can be purchased as I have looked myself without success.

The service/maintenance booklet can be found though. I created an excel spreadsheet from mine listing all the services required at each mileage interval and would be happy to send it to you if you want it. Just PM me your e-mail address.

Lists 203 for 2001-06. I don't know if it covers AMG.

You can call the customer assistance center 800 367 6372 and they sell the software disks or sign up for the WIS NET which has a huge amount of more info/data, but it's not cheap unless you are just getting a 1 day pass.

My concern is which ones are win 7 compatible? Oem, ebay, or ???

The OEM STAR Service DVD didn't used to be W7 64bit compatible but now most of it works. You have to use a work-around on the electrical ETM bits, but that works too now.

So I want a factory manual, how do I go about getting one? Part number etc. and is it really for C55 and not just a C230 and some of the info applies.

I got mine at my dealer for something like $60 three-odd years ago. It covers all years and models of the w203.

Is there a part number for this CD? I've asked my local dealer and the parts guy tells me he can't find such a thing.

Mine says P-2700-203-07 version 2.0.

OK, so I called 800 FOR-MERC and they were very helpful today. The part number listed above is still current and sells for $60. The rep was a little hesitant because of the issues they have had with Windows 7 64 bit and some other OS. He suggested that I sign up for the factory Startek for a day for like $20. He said you can download as much of it you want in the 24 hours. I told him I will probably throw the $20 at it and download the whole thing instead of paying $60 for a DVD. He did state that if you open the $60 discs and your operating system has issues with it, there is no refund.

WTF! I gave the part number to the local dealer, and they told me it's C$175 and backordered!

Anyone interested in ordering one for me through their local dealer, and then mailing it up to me? PayPal'd in advance, of course.
