AMS or Kleeman Headers - WWMBW Do?
Thinking about adding some headers.
I'm up in the air between Kleeman Mid-tubes and AMS Shorties.
Would likely add high flow cats to either.
What Would MB World Do?

If you don't want to cut up your stock exhaust or do any welding then go with the AMS bolt ons. If you don't care then go with the Kleemanns...

Kleemans are probably at the limit of my budget.
I realize I wasn't specific in my original post... I plan to be putting in high flow secondary cats, which I assume there we be some welding involved regardless of which direction I go.
Maybe just a little bit more work for the kleemans?
Unfortunately the only performance specs I've seen are for the SLK55 for AMS.
I did search, but didn't see much for the kleeman's except for RLX02's dyno, which may or may not have had a tune.
Kleeman website claims 20hp for N/A M113...

With Kleemann, you'll need new downpipes so you can either have just straight pipes or catted pipes--your choice.
Check them out at www.fabspeed.com

It all comes down to whether you want to chop off primary cats of not. Both make good power obviously, but ours require much less labor for installation so keep that in mind.
Either way you cant go wrong, however I highly recommend you get high flow 2nd cats and not just run staight pipes, it will sound much more refined IMO (plus technically its the more legal option )
Hope that helps

Its around ~8 hours of labor to install them though because you have to hack your exhaust unlike the AMS bolt ons. So, if you want to keep the resale value of your car, get the AMS headers. If you don't mind hacking the exhaust and spending more, get the kleemanns.
If you really want the most power, MBH's makes the only long tubes for the c55, but they're pretty expensive.

Combined they will significantly improve both the performance of your car and the exhaust sound as well.
The high flow cats are now only $135 shipped for the pair from Performance-curve so combined you only pay $1,134 in parts for a drastic change in the cars performance.
Hope that helps,

Not sure which manifolds you should go with but after seeing the restriction within the catilytics I can't see how power is made with these still on. I would just be sure that the system you chose either removes or replaces all the OEM cats with high flow units, it just seems like headers wont work optimally when the extra breathing still has to exit these tiny holes.

+1, I removed the primary cats, replaced with Kleeman downtubes, wanted to keep the secondary cats and replaced them with highflow cats. Kleeman removed the ecu light that would result from the primary deletion. I still think this is the best you can do with the C55 exhaust for sound, looks and power. It is designed and built the way it should have been OE. The above posters are correct in the number of hours it takes to have the system installed correctly. When the Kleemans were first offered they were over $5k new. Now they can be had for $1.5 new. MBH may make the best system though. Hooley has done great work on this forum.
