Are those pusher or puller fans? If you mount them on the inside as pullers like the stock radiator fan it should do really well.

Don't believe those fans will help much above 20 MPH or so?? The PLM and Meziere alone should be more than enough to drive down those IC temps, unless you do a lot of stoplight to stoplight, slow driving and profiling??

The Code 3 and Johnson on mine do an amazing job.

The plan is to have them on a switch for in town driving they should help on recovery time between red lights

Are you planning on logging any IAT data? What will you be using?

If they're in front though (pushers) won't they impede the air flow at higher speeds???

I figure with the size of the PLM the little restriction cause by fans will not be a great deal plus I live in Canada where heat it not too much an issue !!

Define better?? At what, reducing the IATs or installation. My Code 3 was a breeze to install. He's in Canada, so its probably a moot point. Talk to me in Texas or AZ about temps.

+1!!

Note that being in Canada, unless you're profiling (cruising) etc, I don't see the need for the three fans...........How often are you doing less than 20-25 MPH anyway for extended periods.

+1...have you even tried the HE without the fans. I don't even think I need that here and it'll definitely get over 100 degrees

thicker isn't always better. the optimum h/e is a h/e that has the greater surface area to allow more air to pass thru. putting the fan in front simply blocks the airflow. any benefits from the fans will be negated by the blockage

Well I see lots of speculations here about it and its all good, that`s forums are all about its to learn about ea others, that said I do lots of driving in heavy traffic going back and forth to Ottawa, I think the fan shall help in hot temperature, don`t go thinking we have snow banck here all the time we get in the 100 in the summer with 80% humidity. As for the restriction the fans cause well I did my homework on this and all fluids are compressible to some extent, that is changes in pressure or temperature will result in changes in density and go around the fan body. However, in many situations the changes in pressure and temperature are sufficiently small that the changes in density are negligible.

I guess a tap in gauge in the IAT sensor would reveal the pure truth, does anybody ever tap in the IAT and connected it to a gauge.

Whatever you do with the fans (I personally have my doubts) don't tap the IAT sensor. Get an OBD2 based monitoring solution. CarChip or iPhone App. There may be other inexpensive (relatively speaking) solutions.
