assuming you have xenon...

pull out both headlights and swap the ballasts (found on the bottom of the headlight)

Oops...sorry. Yes I have xenon. Does anyone have an extra ballast or igniter for sale?

for the igniter, you'd have to disassemble the headlight itself. this requires taking off the front which is glued.

if you search, you'll see that there is an igniter "kit" that essentially replaces the connector that clips onto the bulb. i think it's somewhere around $130

there's a higher probability of an issue being with the ballast, though.

Ok thanks but I thought the igniter was the part that plugs into the bulb itself...am I wrong?

the igniter from the factory is buried within the headlight. MB offers a replacement igniter kit which plugs into the bulb itself as you say. you just lob off the wires from your old plug and splice them into the new plug with a built-in igniter
