Broken Satellite Radio Control Module!!
The dealer just notified me that the reason my satellite radio was not working is because the module is broke. They want $1000 for a new module!!!!!
What should I do? Does anyone have any better options?

Same issue
All I get on the screen is call Sirius to activate, no weather channel, no sound, no ability to go into channel selection. Dealer says it is the satellite navigation module and that will be $1000.00 because the warranty is one month expired. And I just got the car 4 days ago used.

Thanks
I found one on Ebay. I'll see if it works or if I am out the bucks for the replacement. The dealer told me it was the satellite controller so I am doing this on his recommendation. I found the controller in the trunk, now it is just waiting and hoping. I'll let folks know how it turns out.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I would bet that it is the controller. Keep us posted. Worst case...if it doesn't fix your problem you have a buyer!!! Sell it to me.

Part #
This is the part # I entered into Ebay to get the module. A 216 820 21 89
The module is located in the trunk directly forward of the spare tire. There are two "pins" to pull up located on the forward left and right edges of the trunk mat. Just lift the front corner of the mat up and you will find a black button. Just pull up the two buttons about a quarter of an inch and then just remove the trunk mat. In the middle of the trunk is the satellite module. You can check this # and make sure it is the one you need. BTW, now that you have read this, I can only swear to this for a 2009 C 300, but hope it helps.

sat module
That one looks like it should word and the current price is cheaper that the one I got. But that is the number and they say it works. There are others out there in the $250 range.
