wrinkles in door trim
Hi, this is my first post. I hope it's not too negative...as a side note I'm considering buying a Mercedes soon and I'm very excited about that!
I can't seem to find a C55 in this part of the country (Florida) that doesn't have these wrinkles in the door trim panels; I think it has something to do with the humidity. Even if it's just a matter of age, has anyone successfully restored the trim panels to a wrinkle-free state?
Is it just a matter of re-gluing, or is this something I will need take to a shop? At the very least, would someone please help me identify the part I'm referring to, so I can ask around about it?
Thanks!![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)

Wrinkles signal true leather in that generation opposite to tex. Since you want a C55 you won't find one with tex. You can opt for a c230 or c320 or replace the panels on a c55 after purchase. Personally I dislike tex...

As stated, its supposed to be like that, any mercedes built in the early-mid 2000's had that on the leather inserts in the door from the factory if the car came with actual leather. Again, the "smooth" leather door inserts are not actually made of leather and instead mb-tex, mercedes' proprietary pleather. As also stated, you won't find a c55 with the mb-tex, and thus you won't find one without the ruffles in the leather.
