New Milestone Today!
Had a nice interstate drive today and I hit 40k miles! Nicely flowing traffic so I really got to enjoy my new power/sound from the headers. I got to play around with a guy in a Jag S-Type R on the way and on the way back I saw what might have been a Jag XKR (not too up on Jags) followed by an Aston DBS on the way back. No playing there, plus it started raining, but I did get a thumbs up from the guy in DBS (which sounded amazing). I enjoy driving this car so much, hopefully I'll get to take it to the track sometime soon. I just don't want to beat the **** out of it and ruin it, I've been very careful so far to make sure anything I've done to this car will actually make it better and not worse. I leared my lesson once.

conscientious maintenance (i.e. religious fluid changes) these cars will go forever. I'm at 90k on mine, I drive it hard every day and do not have any issues besides the expected failures: no driver's seat warmer, dirty exhaust tips, short-lived rear tires, small gas tank, fried center dash speaker, scuffed up CF front lip, chipped mirror covers ...

The transmission mount was actually replaced by the PO before I got the car and the motor mounts were replacd a little while ago before my CPO warranty ran out because I was getting vibration at idle. I've already replaced every fluid but the coolant and power steering fluid. I've been changing my oil every 2500-3000 miles so far since chances are it only had 3 oil changes when I bought it with 32k on it. When the oil starts looking cleaner I'll go longer. I'm going to drain and fill the transmission fluid again at the next oil change (did a filter service last oil change). That was one of the main reasons I liked this car was because there isn't much to go wrong, like with all the supercharger components on the Kompressors.

Very wise, those items should be replaced every 40k miles or so. With

How expensive is the replacement for those mounts if they're every 40k miles?..

It really depends on many variables if they go out that soon though. There are a few people on here that got 90-100k out of the mounts. Mine weren't totally blown out or anything, but I was getting a slight vibration at idle. I was under warranty so I took it in immediately.

I'm just being overly cautious and like to keep my car in tip top shape. The mounts themselves are about $85 each, you need two. You can replace them yourself or pay an independant about $150 to do the job. When they start to go, handling becomes less precise, the engine shakes noticeably and you run a slight risk, if left unrepaired, of causing other components to fail prematurely due to excessive vibration. Whether they go or not, as posted above, depends on many variables, including how hard you drive your car and the condition of the roads you use.
