C55 Tweaks

Likely old news for the veterans here, but thought I'd share my recent experiences.

I installed a Eurocharged tune a couple of weeks ago, and then added Green filters a week later.

The tune really woke the car up, much better bottom end, throttle response, and seems stronger everywhere at WOT. I had just replaced the air filters with new OEMs when I bought the car, the filters had under 300 miles on them. The Green filters augment the tune in every way, the car is noticably more responsive everywhere since they were installed.

The C55 is my dd, so I'm going to leave things alone from here out, but these basic mods really woke up my car, it was money well spent.

C55 tunes from what I remember only yeild 10-15 HP and those green filters have been known to break down and get sucked into the intake. I don't really see the need for either of these. I rather keep it safe.

The ECU flash isn't worth it? It looked to be about 25HP and 26lbs from their charts. Pretty substantial if you can really get that.

.
Ditch the green filters for K&N's the eurocharged tune brought my car back to life. I had it done by Jake in IL and he's a stand up guy.

Are you sure about those numbers? I have never seen that much gains from a tune. On Eurocharged site they only state 25 to the crank and I was quoted that it ranges from 10-15 also K&N filters have caused issues with their oil getting sucked into the MAF and causing it to malfunction. If you really got 23whp then it would probably be worth it.

Those who have issues with the K&N oil in the MAF did one or two things or both; used too much oil and/or didn't let it dry sufficiently.

Regarding the tune, I did not do a before and after dyno so I cannot comment on actual numbers, however my butt dyno says there are noticeable gains. To add I can feel that I don’t have a torque/HP peak more so a plateau of power through the RPM range.

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 576Nm :-)
I have the Kleemann ECU-tune and I´m very happy with it!

Next month I´m going to get the TCU-tune from the same
company.

I didnt have the best dyno condtions. I think my base run would have been higher. My mods before the tune were exhaust, and K&N filters. I would like to get a tcu tune as well.
