Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Tires Suck?
I have a set of Pilot Sport PS2's on my c32. I believe they are fairly new too, they were on the car when I bought it 3 months ago. I have visually checked fronts and backs and they have plenty of treads.
When I give full throttle from a stop with ESP ON, the rear tires slip quite a bit. When I do this with ESP OFF I practically stay in place and the wheels just spin. This is all on dry pavement of course, and I've tried multiple locations / types of pavement and get similar results.
Is this normal for these tires? What kind of tires should I get?

Well if you have a lot power going to the rear wheels, they are going to spin. How much or how little is a variable. But generally speaking PS2's are pretty good tires. If you don't need new tires, why change them. Traction is not going to get any better since you already have good tires. You could always try a really soft compound tire, but you will go through those VERY quickly.

I had those on my last C32 and liked them much better.

I run the Michelin PS2 on my 2006 C230 and love them. Albeit, the C230 does not spin it's tires like the C55
I run the Michelin Super Sports which replaced the PS2's on my C55 and love them. Not very much spin at all. I replaced a set of Pirellis that would just spin and spin but then again then were almost bald.

OP, your tires are lower than you think. ps2's are amazing tires (i pretty much swear by them, until i get the SS's) so you have something else going on. you should have little to no wheelspin.

I mean, with ESP Off the wheelspin is ridiculous. With ESP on I'd say I'm getting about the same amount of wheelspin I think I got with the Hankook V12's with ESP off.
Maybe it's time for new tires.

Yeah, my PS2's were some of the stickier tires, altho they wore out super fast cause of that. I think the Hankook EVO's are just as sticky, yet half the price.

Anyone every use Bridgestone Potenza S-02's? I used those on my 1999 C280 sport, I like them but them seemed rough. I think they would be better suited for the C32, but still they may be a bit harsh.

i had PS2 and currently running hankook evo v12. the evo v12 is good for its price, but they are no michelin PS2s. I'm not gonna get PS2 again tho, they are just too expensive.

I had issues with the bridgestone potenzas. The inner side walls on my front tires kept developing cracks and I'm sure I maintained tire pressure correctly. I'm currently using continental dws and they work very well and are suppose to last quite a while. I don't have to worry about snow, but I couldn't find continental dw when I needed tires.
