I'm confused: C55 weight

I'm a little confused about the weight of my C55. All the places I've seen online says it weighs around 3500lbs, but yesterday I noticed the door placard says it weighs 4600lbs. What is the deal with that?

The door placard says how much the car can safely weigh with passengers and cargo, split up between the front axle, rear axle, and total. Also useful for buying tires with certain load ratings.

When I went to the dragstrip a couple years back mine weighed 37xxlbs with me in the car and the gas tank basically on E.

From the international brochures, the C55's curb weight was 1635 kg/3605 lbs (which includes 90% full fuel tank, 68 kg driver, and 7 kg luggage).

From the North American brochures, the C55's curb weight was 1605 kg/3538lbs.

.
I had mine weighed this past sept, no driver/passengers, <1 gal of fuel, no spare, empty windshield washer reservoir, all random things taken out and stock wheels; it came in at 3560 on a CAT certified scale.

Ok, thanks guys. I thought 4600lbs was way off. I had my first track time over the weekend at Road Atlanta and a few people asked me how much it weighed so I was like WTF when I double checked the sticker since I always though it was around 3500!

Yes, essentially you can carry about 1000 lbs of luggage and passengers.

Right on. What group did you go out to RA with? I have been wanting to get out there with my car as well. What kinda MPH were you seeing on the back straight?

I went with the Peachstate PCA for their driver's ed event. I think the fastest I went was 120mph. I could have gone faster but I was more concentrating on getting the line right and braking and such so going faster will come on its own. I'll definately be going again though, Road Atlanta is a fun track. I'll have the Kleemann on by then too so it should be really fun being able to keep up with the GT3s.
