I think you are referring to "keying" the spark plugs. The idea is that the spark (or ground electrode tip) faces the incoming fuel/air mixture, rather than the electrode bend. You would have to use washers to change the plug rotation once it is tight. A quick google search revealed the link below - which is a pretty good explanation for what I think you want to do.

I can't imagine this could produce any extra power at all. Remember the piston does the end of a downstroke plus almost an entire upstroke before the spark plug fires after the valves close. That is a lot of mixing already not to mention that the intake manifold doesn't point air directly in like a pipe. The two valves are obviously circular and air goes 360 degrees at a broad angle not directly at the spark plug. Just my opinion based on pure conjecture.
