Lug bolts - based on the car or the rim?
Grabbed some 18's because of a cracked stock rim and for the life of me, even from the rim manufacturer, I can't find new lugs. Called the dealer and they quoted me at $200+ for a new set, and I'm not even sure they'll fit. Local mechanic is telling me horror stories of lugs that fit originally but then came off on the highway, so I'm coming here for the straight dope, hopefully ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
Here are the rims I got; OEM replicas with the same bolt pattern as the stock rims - http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...5%29+Gunmetal/
Anyway, what does the 112mm part of the "5 x 112mm" bolt pattern mean? Just the length of the lugs needed? Does that mean that the stock lugs won't stick through too far and hit the parking brake mechanism? I've done a bunch of searching online and by calling parts stores and I can't even find much of anything legit-seeming for sale.

5x112 is....... 5 bolts x 112 mm bolt pattern
Here is how its measured....http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/....jsp?techid=92
For the length, i believe for the W203 stock width is 12mm and stock length is 39mm???? Been a while, sorry....
BTW The E55 bolts are shorter and thicker 14mm x 29mm

Take your car and wheels to a shop. Have them put one of the new wheels on and do some measurements. If the stock lugs won't work, you can then take the measurements and check the website I sent you and find the bolts that will work. This is what I did to find the proper bolts (much shorter) in order to put the SL55 wheels on my C32.

I got some new rims and after measuring how much the stock bolts stick out of the old rims compared to the new ones, I had to go way down to 24mm shank. Stock is 39mm indeed.

Barely fit without spacers... We're talking like half the width of a creditcard clearance to the calipers.

Those are definitely the same rims, so hopefully we're onto something here =)
