My New Project
#151
How is this monster going?
Wouldnt a 32 supercharger have been easier fit on a 350 engine? (3.7).
My 32 engine is losing mojo (210 thousand kms): considering purchasing a 350 engine and modding with the 32 s/c. A world of pain or worth it?
A c32 engine rebuild and or replace is $6k+. The 350 engine is 2.5k. A similar project seems reasonable as opposed to rebuild/replace.

next week i'll finish assembling the engine, i wraped the headers and installed dual nozzle meth:
as for the 350 engine you can fit it but you need 55amg na pistons to lower the compression, and you will not get any benefit cause you will loose boost with the same sc, i suggest to rebuilt the c32 engine with used parts and i have all parts if you need i can ship them to you.

You will lower boost but power should be the same since the same amount of air is going in. Torque will increase. A crank pulley to go with the smaller supercharger pulley you already have will bring boost back up. People run stacked setups on the stock 32 engine so the supercharger can I guess take the extra revs.

Cheers for the advise tw2: greatly appreciated.
Will go the rebuild and be content with the output of the 32. Only one way to make the next step and I am a couple of years off that.
Alas...Robert’s project is absolutely brilliant and tempting to emulate.

We started the car on Saturday after the engine rebuilt, everything went good, engine run smooth, we installed also the 82mm tb right before the air filter, took out the egr valves and secondary air injection.

looks beastly. We need vids!!! Why did you position the intake there? Unless there is some sort of cutout on the hood or in the fender well how will it get cold air?
Looks like theres plenty of room to wrap it around up front like a single needswings intake

Holy crap! This just keeps getting better and better.
I am imagining the SC sucking air straight out of the cabin and the SC whine to be 10x louder in that position.
Could you post more pictures of the front of the motor - Im curious to see how you got the m113k SC pulley to line up with the c32 crank.
Also - I hope when you're done you do a massive parts list drop on the first page of this thread!
Keep up the great work and get those vids up!

Well guys i didn't update this thread from long time cause i am still fighting a lot of problems after i rebuilt the engine from like 4 months,
after i finished it the car was loosing boost up top instead of going up to 1.5 bars like before now it goes to 1.3 then down to 1.2 bars, and it made only 485-490 hp crank so like 60/70 hp down plus sometimes the boost drop like a slippage to below 1 bar.
i have changed everything and still problem not solved, i did compression tests, boost leak tests, changed to another 82 tb, bought a second supercharged and cut the rear runners, changed all gaskets, made a clutchless sc pulley and ...... still no power like before
today i installed the stock 74mm tb, tomorow i'll go to the dyno and we'll see, if not solved, don't know what to do! maybe an IC leak test.
i am suspecting that maybe before we installed the timing chain one tooth advanced and it upped the hp then pistons were failed.
before i was getting like 160/165 psi cranking CR, now after the rebuilt i am getting between 125/135 psi.
after all i'll go with bigger pulleys.
i am really tired.

Update: i discovered yesterday that the dyno numbers are very low and different from last year, the operator didn't told anything about the nb that they were updated and are lower then last year, i suspected this, and send today my brother to this same dyno, last year his car clk55 made 374 crank hp, today it made only 331, so the problem is in the dyno, the car has no problem and the boost is decreasing on the dyno which is normal but on the road it doesn't and last year i wasn't looking on boost on the dyno.
plus my sc pulley is bad, i went now with clutchless pulley.
yes the car has no problems, i was working 4 months and payed more then 1500$ for nothing.
so now it's time for 180mm pulley, 750cc injectors, meth and dyno tune.
guys don't trust dyno's, only if tested in the same day.

Dang sorry to hear you wasted some of your time! Good news though if you ask me. I'm sure some of the things you inspected/replaced are better off for it at least. Looking forward to results!
