*!* I am dynoing my car at a third party dyno tomorrow *!*
I will be dynoing my car with :
1. stock chip, For a baseline
2. ASE's chip, The one that was previously dynoed at EvoSport to show the chips power gain.
The car will be dynoed on 91 octane pump gas.
I invite ANYONE that would like to be present to attend.
I am dynoing my car at 10am.
You can get directions by calling 714-630-1555 or by visiting there web page at http://www.eurosportacc.com/ and clicking the " contact us section" to view a map. EuroSport is located in Anaheim CA.
If you need extra help with directions or have a question email me at : theloser0@aol.com

I hate suspense, so I called my friend Raffi (the owner of Eurosport) to get the results.
This is what he told me:
330hp - Stock Chip on CA91
340hp - ASE Chip on CA91
349hp - ASE Chip on CA95/96 (mix with 100 Race Gas)
I have asked him to e-mail me the graphs, but they are having a hard time with e-mail from that PC. They said they would figure it out for me if we don't get them posted by Nima.
So the result was good, a nice gain, but certainly NOT the 39HP claimed! I want to see the chart to see the are under the curve.
Thanks
Brad

What mods does the 330RWHP include for stock chip? Seems like those mods are where all the gain (30-40HP) is coming from.

Thanks
Brad
Most ODPS cars end up with 315 to 320 HP. Nima also has SL55 intake splitter, K&N filters no resonator and no rear catalytic converters. We know the splitter is worth around 5HP, so the rear cats and the resonator are around 5HP also.
So him at 330HP stock makes perfect sense. Add more timing trough software that makes 340HP, add some race gas and you are 349HP.
So why the big difference between the Evosport dyno 362rwhp and this latest test at 349rwhp?
Read the latest (could be last month's now) issue of Turbo, they did a dyno test of various brands on the same car on the same day, and the results were all over the place, even between 2 dynojets.
Which is why I only trust dyno numbers when mods are done on the same dyno on the same day within an hour of each other. Even then the dyno numbers just represents gain, the number itself could be off.
Rage2: As far as dynos. I do not know about other brands, but I do know that DYNOJETS are very close to one another, I would say within 1-2HP.
How do I know this? I have another DYNOJET at a Mustang shop two doors down. Over the last six years we have ran all kinds of cars back to back on our dyno and theirs. You can overlay both graphs from different dynos over each other and only see one graph. No difference.
Back in 1997 when we got our DYNOJET, one of the magazine did a story on it's accuraccy by running a 5.0L Mustang on our DYNOJET, Kenne Bell DYNOJET and Stillen DYNOJET. Again the graphs overlayed one another.
Now, I read the dyno trash story. TURBO magazine is 2 miles away from us. I know most of the stuff who works there. Let's just say that their level of knowledge is green and leave it at that.
They picked an OBDII (350Z) car to use for the story. It is very important to properly monitor and cool OBDII car to get consistent results. They did not do that and now this BS story is the result.
All of our software comes from POWERCHIPS. We make custom files for each application and Power Stage level on our DYNOJET.
BTW, our C32 is on the schedule tomorrow for more tuning.
Sorry to keep you guy in suspense, but Nima's scanner is not working well. So he brought the graphs back to me.
Attached is the graph showing a 15 RWHP gain. This is a graph that Raffi at Eurosport did not mention to Brad. Not only did we try the first chip that Nima had dynoed at Evo, but we also had a second chip that was tested.
Also, "C32AMG" showed up today (7/02/03) and we installed the 346 RWHP chip. C32AMG also mention that is dyno'ing his car soon along with his removed rear cat.
The ASE chip is also a dual bank chip where two programs can be stored. You can run a 91 Octane program and the other one can be a 98 or Nitrous program. Programs can be switch easy by a standard toggle switch, push button switch or by factory accessory switch. When the second program is access, it makes the switch with in milli-seconds. Which means you don't have too shut down your car to switch from program to program.
Thank you all for your patience and support.
It is available now. Vadim will do a write-up on it tomorrow explaining the peak gains as well as the greatly improved throttle response and drivability.
Ben
