After 10.5 years of owning my C32, I am going to let her go. I have been here at this site for many years, reading and sometimes posting. This has been a great site for information, and I appreciate all your help and ideas over the years. My car will go up on Craigslist in, and around Sacramento within 2 weeks, so if anyone here is interested in buying it from me before hand, please PM me for details.
The milage is about 150k. I am the original owner and mostly freeway miles. The car runs excellent, with no signs of problems, and most servicing was done by the dealer. I am selling to get a sports car. The car needs nothing. I am flexible on the price of the car.

Even though I have really enjoyed the thrill of a //AMG, I am not staying with MB for my next sports car. I am considering Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, or maybe a lotus Evora. It will be bought used to help off set the initial cost.
First the C32 needs to go!

Well, I posted my car on Craig's list, Sacramento today. Here is the link, do you think it is posted at a fair price?

Very clean! Good luck with sale.
I wanted to sell mine as well, but ended up keeping it and will be driving it to the ground. I am seeing a 996tt for me in the near future though (hopefully!)

I just reduced the asking price for my 2002 C32 ///AMG. I think it is priced at a very fair rate. Please check it out and se if you know someone who may be interested.

This has more miles than my current C32 and I'M tempted to buy it at this price!
I finally sold my C32 last month. It has been a great run hanging out at this forum! Thank you all for your insightful and informative peices of information on this great sports sedan. I enjoyed this car very much, but it was time to move on.
After a long search for a replacement of my C32 ( I have been thinking of sports cars for 2 years). I made a decision to buy a Lotus Evora. See pic below

Cool looking car, still find it wierd it has a minivan engine in it though.
Any reason why you didnt go with a 911?

For the same price that I paid for the Lotus, I would have to had to buy a 4 year old 911, this car is almost new ( I bought is used with 280 miles). The 911 is a great car, and was a high contender for my next purchase, but the Lotus is a more pure driving experience than most other sports cars, including a 911, and that is what I was looking for in a sports car. Yes, it has a Toyota Camry engine, but I rather have that motor than a British limited run engine.
I know I can get parts like filters at the Toyota dealership if I chose, and the reliability is going to maintain its value and longevity. The lotus is a pure driver’s car, but the Evora has creature comforts like leather everywhere, blue tooth, navigation, back up camera , to name a few. Don't let the Toyota engine fool you. This car has been tuned by Lotus, therefore the throttle response in very sensitive, the car is very light, and the power is great, but braking and steering is nothing I have ever experienced on any car. It is absolutely astonishing.

How's the build quality? I had driven one at the Skip Barber school at Laguna Seca and while I loved the handling I thought the gear box was terrible and build quality was pretty bad. Maybe it's because the cars I drove were pretty beaten up. Did you see the new Lotus Evora GTE that just came out? That thing looks pretty amazing.

So far, I found the build quality is very good. No problems so far. Trany and engine are working perfectly with each other, and no ratlles, iregular body panel gaps, and the electronics are all fine. Seats are very comfortable, the smell of leather is great too. The isses are limited rear visability out the back window, (forward visibilty is great), and there is not a dead peadle ( I place my left foot under the clutch to rest it). Back seats are only for luggage or people under 4 feet tall. I have not seen the GTE.

Wow, very nice. Why didn't you go for an Aston Martin Vantage though? Even though they are fairly cheap now, they are such lookers and look so exotic.

I test drove 3 different Aston Martin V8 Vantages. They too are amazing cars. Great power, luxury, and those lines of car are very sexy. These cars are priced just a little more than the Lotus, so I could have reched a little deeper in the pocket to get a 2006 o 2007 model. But i the end, I felt safer with a relitivly band new car with full warenty than a used, 5-6 years old car and posibly higher maintenice costs.
Believe me, it was a lot of going back and forth between 911, Aston, and Lotus. I feel I made the best choice for me.
