LOOKING FRONT BUMPER FOR C55

My front bumper is cracked and I'm looking to get it replaced. It's not noticeable unless I point it out, but it still bugs the crap out of me.

Anyone know where I can get a Barbus K8 bumper?

Will a W209 bumper fit the C55?

Thanks.

Yeah a W209 should fit. Same car essentially.

I have an 06 C55. I just replaced my front bumper. When I bought my car it had apparently at some point been replaced before with one from a junk yard and repainted. It had a crack too (probably in the same place as yours), but was also missing huge chunks of clear coat eventually
This drove me nuts too so I started looking for replacements. I talked to the two best body shops in my area. One quoted me $2250 to replace the bumper with one from the factory, the other quoted me about $1700. The one with the high quote told me my bumper was three pieces, which it's not, so I went with the cheaper quote. Neither shop would put any bumper on except for the factory one. One of them said that there are some bolt holes that don't line up from the W209, and they wouldn't do custom work. Good luck finding that bumper for under $1200, unless you go with fiberglass. I have seen one on ebay that looks like the CLK55 with the vents on the sides, but again, neither shop would install anything different for me. *******s. I will say with my new bumper my car looks like it's worth $55k again! The factory one is awfully sexy, and it's a perfect fit!

I have seen pics on here with someone with a C55 and a W209 bumper, but they installed it themselves. I believe they said they had to make a few new holes to make it work.

Thanks for the info. The body shop I talked to pretty much told me the same thing, almost $2000 for the bumper, and then however much for prime and paint. Trying to see all the options I have. I think I might go for the W209 bumper and have them figure out how to install it. I've known them for a long time, so I'm sure I can work something out with them.

The Difference in the CLK55/CLK500 Sport 209 Bumper and the C55 203 front AMG Bumper are very slight, the obvious is the lower grille molds, the
Fog lamps (230-820- part#) on the CLK55
Fog lamps (209-820- part#) on the C55
and the 2nd is the way the head lamp washer cover mounting brackets on the C55 (Inside the bumper cover) are modded to fit the Aluminum impact bar on the C55 and in the CLK55 its fitted to the CLK impact bar. I work Mercedes parts here in West L.A. and was curious as i looked into it last year. You can transfer the brackets front your C55 to the CLK55 bumper but you have to get the grilles and fog lights you see on the CLK55 ((same as E55 2003-2006, SL55 2003-06)

So yes, it does required some kind of retrofit to fit the CLK55 Bumper on your C55
