Kompressor weird sound. Need Help!
Hi guys,
I bought the Eurocharged Power Package I (ECU - Pulley - Tune - IC - IC30 Pump) and the package came with a new Bearing for the Kompressor.
I installed everything in the Peruvian Mercedes dealership and after a while the kompressor started to sound like this (see video).
http://youtu.be/5CL4aqgGlRs
I complained to the dealership and they said that its not the BEARING that they "changed", that its a "internal kompressor bearing" that can not be replace without change the entire kompressor!?!?!?
I believe its the external Kompressor bearing (orange in the video) that everyones change but i have my doubts. Anyone heard about a "internal K bearing?"
Please help!

I changed the SC Pulley bearing for a new one...The weird sound continued...
After the installation i noticed that the clutch had a strange noise..is this normal? or the sound came from a loose pulley clutch?

I believe that the sound came from that loose clutch disc (attached to the SC pulley). I will take out the SC Pulley again and try to press the clutch disc attachment pins to keep it still.
Where can i buy a new pulley with the coupler?

MBWorld Fanatic!
I just checked my clutch and it has no sideways play at all. I can sort of make that noise by pushing rearward on the rivet but that is probably the clutch faces mating at that point.
Is your power package a SC pulley or the crank pulley?

I take the pulley with the clutch to a friend who owns a Clutch Service Workshop, he told me that the clamps of the disc were a little loose. So he used a machine that tight those clamps.
Now the plate clutch is really tight. I re-assembly the pulley and the sound is gone. and everything seems to be ok!
Im going to try the car tomorrow because now its raining hard..so i will keep you guys updated!
Thanks for the help!

Hi Juan,
We just adjusted the "CLUTCH PLATE CLAMPS" with a machine that its like a little press.
Probably you can do the same with a small hammer and a socket wrench head that must be the exact size that the clamps so you can hammer it.
The main purpose here is to get the clutch to be still and really tight!

You have to remove the pulley. Attached its the CLUTCH DISC.
You must press the little clamps that hold the CLUTCH DISC with the pulley.
