m3 vs c32

Does anyone happen to own or previously own both a c32 and an e46 or e36 m3 even? I was curious on what your opinions were in general. I am picking up an 04 e46 m3 at the end of the year; 6spd. I've been a bmw fan for a while now and recently been getting into AMG's. So what are your opinions? Anything and everything is welcome

This topic has been beated to death, try the search feature and you will dig up loads of info. I would discourage another converstation on this topic because it always brings out strong opinions and anger!

Hope this helps and I don't think you can go wrong with either, just depends on your needs!

I would keep your BMW M3 until the 400 horsepower V8 M3/M4 comes out.

I Agree with AMGboy, this subject has been beaten to a pulp. Do a search feature, im sure you will find a lot of info. Personaly, i had a E36 M3, test drove the E46 M3 twice & ended up buying the C32. In the end you cant go wrong with either car, both are awesome, it just depends on what YOU want.

He does have the C32 already...

Use the C32 as a daily driver, and the M3 as a weekend car. Why I say this is because my friend has a 02 SMG. I rode in his car with him last time for about 2 hrs going and coming back from LA auto show. It was not a very comfortable ride, but when he let me drove the car it sure was a fun car to drive... The C32 rides more like my old car: bumpy, but not uncomfortable. I had a 00 328Ci btw.

Keep the M3. I've driven both. I like the C32, but the M3 just seems more exciting. Nothing against C32's though

right on guy's thanks i think the m3 will be a cool deal cuz im getting the 6spd manual. the smg was very jerky, on all settings. no torque converter, just really fast shifts, both the drivers and passenger heads lunge forward between shifts. i got the 19" rims too =D (but it'll be even more bumpy) =(..hopefully not as bad as my dad's racing suspension on his turbo =T. i like the c32 cuz its unique and not alot of people have it, i actually see more m3s around whether im in nor cal or so cal, but the wow factor goes up when i see an ///M, heh well ok its 5am i think im tlaking out of my *** now, good night everybody!

First widebody C32 AMG
hmmmm

hmmm my first car was 2002 E46 M3(jet black) with everything on it except for the navi and SMG..
before m3 was my dream car...and i was so happy that i finally got it
but i crashed it so the left side of front bumper was messed up and the left front wheel got jacked up
so, my mom and i decided to sell the car (she hated m3)
and i got my 2003 W203 C32 AMG
finally i got the answer for u guys out there woundering about which car is better
admit that they are both freakin nice cars from each company
i dont think it doesnt matter that which car is faster, better handling, and better feature.
its all about how you like your own car and how much you put the meanings into it.
you can make the car much faster by spending a lot of $$$$$
so its about the effort, love, and values you put into to the car
