Scumbag, Puke Lowlife dealer in Alex, VA...
called me and said my 03 e55 was in. no need to leave a deposit they are my dealer! got there this morning and the puke manager clayton sold it out from under me. this is american service center's new dealership in alexandria. what a complete POS dirtbag. they just seem extra greasy at that new location.
That will probably get his attention and cause him to lose a few allocations.

I've never heard of anybody not putting down money and not getting a contract. Everytime I did, I got my car from Clayton - as promised for the price in the contract.
If you chose not to get a contract, then you really have nobody to blame. On hot cars (not under contract) it is really first-come-first-serve. I've seen Porsche bought while multiple people were looking. Did you ask when a car woul dbe avilable? Fill out a contract? Put money down? Or did you just want the keys to test drive it?
MBUSA is unlikely to do anything for you and anything to ASC. They sell cars - you wanted one - ASC will probably use the incident to ask for more allocation.
If you are really going to buy an E55 - rather than just test drive one - I'd call him, put a deposit down and get the exact car you want. Or call Euromotors and pay a premium for bad service. Or keep posting emails about how you got screwed buying a $70k car.
The one truism in life is $$. If you have it and want something, you can get it.

I guess that answers why you did NOT need a contract. The car is available and hence if you hadn't lost your temper you could have ask ASC to simply get you the next car or trade it for a color you wanted.
My guess is you were looking for money off sticker by way of a sugar coated trade on the C32 (why you should always buy with cash). What did you get on the C32 trade? Options, mileage, color? Did you pay sticker for the E?
As for ASC selling "your" car, since we ares till in August (I'm sure you knew this) the new cars are not the "contract" (allocation) cars but are given out to the dealers at the distributor's discretion. ASC would not know what car (if any) they would get until the week it ships from the distributor. So even if you did "order" a car, your "car" would not arrive until the normal rotation starts next month. I'm sure you knew that though. To me it sounds like somebody tried to do you a favor and you tried to get a deal.
I can only speak from expereince on ASC. When I had a problem with "one" of my MBs, Clayton oversaw service, then worked with me to make sure MBNA bought the car back and then got me a new replacement car at cost to make sure I came out OK. On my 32, they have been top rate. I've bought several cars from him and had a great expereince. There is a reason the dealer is expanding which means all your freinds with problems are either imaginary or aren't old enough to drive.
Best of luck with the E and your new relationship with the dealer (and service center) you bought it from. And when you do get fed up with them, just remember I will not be laughing with you but at you.
DD said the Va dealer got screwed out of a trade and then pays cash at the second dealer. What happen to the trade? In other words, he tried to get a good trade and got nowhere and then out of priciple bought his E from dealer two and paid cash. In the meanwhile dealer one sells the car to somebody who is willing to pay. I can only hope he can afford the E (he bought on principle) while he tries to sell his C. I'm going to keep my eye open for his car in the Post.
As for break-in periods, that is where DD shows his true ignorance. The break-in is NOT for the engine but the tranny. Next time DD is in Germany with all that cash in his pocket he should stop by and talk to the boys at AMG. 1000+ miles of break-in on the tranny before you do those burn outs. The hot head bought a car for "cash" and proceeds to trash it doing 0 to 60 runs on city streets. He is the type of idiot who will then complain to the dealer when the tranny acts up.
Use some of that cash to get to a track day - after you break the car in properly.
I also love the "23" miles. Those are not port miles - moving the car - and they are not engine break in either. And he paid how much? Did they respect your o-tori-tee?
If it was me, I'd have bought an E500 and spent the difference modifying the C32. But that is me...I don't have to take medication, have never been ordered by a court to go to anger management, I race at the track (not on the streets) and don't have a case of potty mouth.
i think it unanimous jrf! your're still a stone cold douche and no one likes you.
JRF, I would rather have a potty mouth than be a complete *****.... !
What a jacka$$. Obviously I didn't buy from him.
