Ouch,
To my understanding the 32 shares the 722.6 as other Benz's however they do slighty differ, you need the one that can handle the load (one from the amg), here is a rebuild ; https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...uild-pics.html
And they sell rebuild kits from precision Etc (http://www.transmissionkits.com/)
My advise would be to try and hold off to see what some of the others members on this forum have to say, as some may have first hand experience and ultimately save you headaches and cash. Have a search too as there are a few threads on the 722.6. What happened to your gearbox I don't know as I am too inexperienced mechanically. That's all I can advise, sorry.

Take it to the benz dealership, get it diagnosed and send the the bill to the original shop. They messed up, time for them to mend the mistake... just my opinion though. Goodluck :/

Hi Chunk, I have just rebuilt my box. Its a 722.6, i would help you but im in Australia. The gearbox will take 6-8 hours to remove.
It then take about 1.5-2days to rebuild.
You will also have to rebuild the torque converter as the clutches inside may be toast.
While you are at it... if your a rev head I would get the torque converter stalled up.
Also,,, get an exchange valve body or reem and put a kit into it... you will get heaps better shifts.
If you want to ship it to oz i can do it for you.
its a big job but my C32 now goes like stink.
I have made the sifts faster and crisper... the stall makes a big difference off the mark.
I have also had Eurocharged reflash it, put a 61mm pulley on and K&N's.
If you need any help or advice let me know.

Mercedes have had my car since my last post and they have tried different things, all to no avail they took some of the gearbox apart and found bits of metal and oil that had got so hot it hard turned to tar does anyone in the uk know of a reconditioned or secondhand gearbox? Mercedes want £3.5k for a new one.

So the car is now been fixed and running as it should this has now gone to court and the judge is asking if the computer on the car measures the oil level in the gearbox at all, when all this happened I had no lights come up for low oil in gearbox or anything as far as I'm aware it can only be measured using a dipstick am I correct in this?

So glad it has been fixed!

I am unsure about oil level warning lights on the C32- It seems that the car should recognize it is running low...

The engine oil level does but nothing came up when it happened for the gearbox, the judge wants to know so have to write to Mercedes where it was fixed. No warnings came up at the time otherwise I would of stopped driving other people have said to me that there isn't I think if it was newer it would have.

There is no warning for the gearbox and yes. The dip stick "not included with vehicle" is the only way to check. Bloody stupid realy considering all the other warnings for washer fluid and tail lights... Who gives a c%&p about that! . Merc thought the box was good for the vehicle... Not so. I had to rebuild at 60.000k's.

That didn't sound right. What I mean is merk underestimated the maintenance requirements of the box.

I can't read this stream of consciousness-type stuff. No offense, but your post is severely lacking punctuation.

Edit: My thoughts aren't needed anyway. Looks like your issue is solved.

Sorry about the lack of punctuation, I was a bit pissed off and was typing in a rage. Thank you for picking up on this. That issue is now resolved.

Thank you for your reply this helps me allot and relives me as the judge has said if there was then I would be partly liable as I should of stopped if it came on but nothing did.
